I was chatting with our lovely client Janet yesterday. She wore her purple Francis Klein glasses with a beautiful dress she had made herself. I asked if I could take a quick picture of her because she just looked so good!

Janet owns Staffordshire Sewing Machines in Eccleshall and The Corner Patch next door -a fabric and haberdashery shop where she offers expert tuition and workshops, along with everything you could possibly need for sewing, dressmaking, patchwork, and quilting. So it’s no surprise that her love of all things artistic and unique extends to her eyewear, and why she loves her limited edition handmade Francis Klein frames.

I shared with her how often women who have met her come to us afterwards, saying how much they love her glasses and how she has opened their eyes to be braver with their own glasses choices.

Janet laughed and said, “Yes, but for everyone who loves them, there is someone who quietly rolls their eyes -who is clearly not a fan”

“But that’s okay.” She smiled “I have reached a point in my life where I realise it’s impossible to please everyone, so you might as well please yourself and wear what you love and feel good in.”

And she’s absolutely right. So often many of us spend our lives trying to please others, to blend in, to wear what we think we should. But real style isn’t about pleasing everyone. It’s about being true to yourself and feeling comfortable in your own skin.

And when we do that, we give others permission to do the same.

And this is why Janet inspires so many. Her glasses, her clothes, her creativity all tell the story of someone who decided to stop asking for permission and start dressing for joy- and this has a powerful impact on those around her.

When we wear what lights us up, the world around us lights up too. ✨

Which is why at Style Optique, your glasses are never just a pair of glasses. They are your way of showing the world who you are ❤️

Outfit 8: Winter Princess

Welcome back to my Autumn/Winter Outfit Inspo Series, where I share some of my favourite seasonal looks styled around standout eyewear pieces from Style Optique.

This one’s for those special moments, a winter wedding, a black-tie celebration, or any occasion where you want to feel like pure magic.

The Winter Princess look is where elegance meets enchantment. It’s a soft, sparkling, and romantic outfit in shades of soft pink.

At the heart of the look is a pair of Limited Edition Francis Klein frames from Style Optique, true heirloom eyewear handcrafted in France and adorned with delicate jewels. These are not just glasses, but wearable art, the perfect finishing touch for a bride or anyone wanting to elevate a special occasion look with grace and individuality.

The Needle & Thread gown flows with ethereal movement, and is layered with a Lace & Favour faux fur stole to add warmth and glamour.

To complete the look is Swarovski jewellery, a Kathleen Carey Bridal hair accessory and a pair of gorgeous Jimmy Choo crystal pumps.

❤️One outfit, one frame style, six colour stories❤️

It always amazes me how much difference the right colour can make, especially when it’s worn close to your face.

To share how powerful colour can be, I’ve styled one simple outfit in six different colour ways, one for each tonal colour type.

The roll neck, jacket, jeans and scarf are all from Kettlewell, a brand I love for their incredible range of colours and timeless wardrobe staples.

Each look is finished with eyewear from our Kirk & Kirk collection at Style Optique, chosen for their exceptional quality and variety of shapes and colours.

If you’d love to discover the colours and eyewear styles that really light you up, and be guided by a professional image consultant and optometrist in our private styling suite - we would love to see you!

Outfit 7: Eclectic Heritage

Welcome back to my Autumn/Winter Outfit Inspo Series, where I share some of my favourite seasonal looks styled around standout eyewear pieces from Style Optique.

This one’s for those who adore colour, texture, and the joy of self-expression, but who also love to feel warm, cosy, and comfortable!

The Eclectic Heritage look is playful yet practical, perfect for brightening grey days without sacrificing comfort. This season, we’re seeing a beautiful return of heritage patterns, animal prints, vibrant reds, deep blues, and tactile textures, and this outfit captures that mood perfectly with its mix of retro Fair Isle, statement accessories, and layers.

At the heart of the outfit (or rather on the face) is a striking pair of Inverso frames from Style Optique. Their rich red hue sets the tone for the entire look, echoed in the Joe Browns red suede boots and matching hobo bag. But it’s their exquisite temple detail that makes them truly special: a beautiful blue lapis stone, cut into a perfect triangle and encased in silver, which subtly mirrors the zigzag pattern of the Boden Fair Isle cardigan, tying the look together beautifully.

A navy Kettlewell roll-neck and White Stuff cord mini add depth and texture, while Hobbs navy tights and the Joe Browns faux-fur parka keep the look snug, practical, and effortlessly stylish for chilly days.

This is a look for those who love colour, craftsmanship, and cosiness. ❤️

Outfit 6: Romantic Rebel

Welcome back to my Autumn/Winter Outfit Inspo Series, where I share a few of my favourite seasonal looks styled around standout eyewear pieces from Style Optique.

This one's for those who love a little drama, the perfect fusion of feminine charm and fearless edge.
The Romantic Rebel look I've created celebrates individuality with a modern twist on romance. Think soft silhouettes, rich textures, and bold contrasts. It's not about choosing between pretty and powerful, it's about being both.

At the heart of the outfit is a striking pair of Sabine Be frames from Style Optique, playful, artistic, and unapologetically bold.

I've styled them with a vibrant Kettlewell fuchsia roll-neck under a colourful animal print Scamp & Dude dress, set against a moody dark background for a hit of colour with edge.

An H&M statement belt defines the waist, while the floor-length Leather Company coat adds instant attitude and structure. Chunky, jewel-studded Kurt Geiger boots ground the look with rebellious flair, and an M&S Collection scarf paired with Butler & Wilson floral sparkle earrings in powerful black keeps the balance between romantic and rock 'n' roll just right.

This is the look for those who walk their own path, confident, creative, and effortlessly cool.

Outfit 5: Metallic Luxe

Welcome back to my Autumn/Winter Outfit Inspo Series, where I share a few of my favourite seasonal looks styled around standout eyewear pieces from Style Optique.

This season, metallics are everywhere, but with a more refined, grown-up edge. Less 70s disco, more effortless elegance.

The secret to elevating metallics in winter is to choose one or two standout pieces, then ground the look with texture and a tonal colour palette. Think silk, cashmere, and structured wool in neutral tones. This creates beautiful balance and gives the outfit a polished, luxurious finish.

At the heart of this look is a striking pair of new-season l.a. Eyeworks frames from Style Optique, chosen for their glam shape and gold metallic tortoiseshell detail. I’ve styled them with a Soft Goat Cashmere jumper and a Reiss silk shirt. The Reiss gold metallic trousers bring just the right amount of statement shine, while the Gant coat adds structure and warmth. Gold metallic trainers from Moda in Pelle help lengthen the leg and complete the daytime look.

To take this outfit into evening, simply swap the trainers for a heel, add a bold earring like this stunning Tish Lyon pair, and you’re ready for anything.

All pieces are credited to their original brands and styled together to inspire.

Outfit 4: Winter Pastels

Welcome back to my Au/Wi Outfit Inspo Series, where I share a few of my favourite seasonal looks styled around beautiful eyewear pieces from Style Optique.

This season is full of rich, warm, deep colours - beautiful, but sometimes overwhelming if your colouring is light and delicate.

Don't fear, though. There are still some gorgeous pastel tones that you can easily warm up for winter and restyle for summer.Think powdery pinks, soft lilacs, pale yellows, and lavender blues, along with vintage pink-purple tones and mint greens.

These shades feel fresh and crisp on cold, dull winter days, brightening your look and lifting your mood!

The key to wearing pastels in winter is combining soft, tactile fabrics and layering to keep your look cosy and warm- yet fresh.

I've styled this outfit around a fabulous pair of Kirk & Kirk frames from Style Optique, chosen for their sculptural lines and candy-lilac colour perfect for those with lighter colouring.

They pair beautifully with the Soft Goat baby-pink cashmere jumper and Kettlewell lilac shirt, layered under a Max & Co lavender coat and Boden blush pink trousers for a light, tonal look that's fresh and full of personality.

To complete the look, l've added a Kettlewell metallic belt, Dune pastel trainers, and a Dunedin Cashmere Scotland scarf.

On colder days you can warm up further by adding a blush beret, soft gloves, and suede ankle boots.
When the seasons shift, simply remove the cashmere jumper and swap the coat for a pastel linen blazer or denim jacket, and hey presto you have an outfit that takes you through the year.

All clothing is credited to their original brands, styled together for inspiration.
