🌹 Rosewood Manor Remembrance 2025
What a truly special day we had yesterday as we held our final Remembrance services for the year.
We gathered in the morning, where our wonderful resident John led us in some thoughtful prayers before we observed the two-minute silence at 11 am to honor those who served.
The afternoon offered quieter moments of connection, with Mark taking Eunice out for a lovely cuppa, and then taking Pauline for a refreshing walk.
The day concluded with an amazing atmosphere! We were honored to host the local Scouts at our memorial stand. They presented a beautiful, moving remembrance service for us, followed by warm cookies and hot chocolate indoors.
Thank you to everyone who helped us remember and honor. Lest we forget.

🎄 Rosewood Manor's Christmas Food Drive! 🎁
Following the huge success of our Harvest Festival collection, we are delighted to announce we are launching our Christmas Food Drive to support the Jubilee Foodbank Market Harborough
We want to help ensure local families and the homeless have what they need this festive season.
🥫 What: We are collecting non-perishable food items.
🏡 Where: Please drop off your donations at Rosewood Manor.
📝 Specific Needs: We have a list of urgently needed items available in the home. Please ask a member of staff when you drop off your donation!

🎉 New Activity Alert! 🎉
The atmosphere was buzzing at Rosewood Manor this afternoon as we introduced a fantastic new activity: Waleys Darts! 🎯 Waleys Dart Days
Bringing darts to our care home was a huge success, and the smiles on everyone's faces say it all. It was so much fun!
A massive shout-out to our champions of the day:

🌹 Lest We Forget: A Day of Remembrance at Rosewood Manor
Today, Rosewood Manor was truly honoured to host the Royal British Legion for a very special service.
We gathered together with our residents to mark the profound importance of Remembrance Day and to pay our deepest respects to the heroes of World War I.
It was a deeply moving occasion, a chance to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served, and to remember with solemn gratitude the ones who did not come home.
Thank you to the Royal British Legion for bringing this meaningful ceremony to our home, allowing our residents to participate in this vital act of remembrance.
We will remember them.

Laughter and Victories at Rosewood Manor! 🥳
​What a joyful atmosphere we've had over the last couple of days!
​The drama on the green was incredible with our bowls tournament! After a thrilling, nail-biting final, Carol triumphed over Edna, winning the amazing Golden Pear and a bag of marshmallows! Well done, Carol! 🏆
​Plus, Doz and Jean had a lovely time hitting the town, we sharpened our minds with a great word game session, and the fantastic Lesley Ann Vocalist Entertainer singing and Mark dancing made sure everyone was smiling and happy. We love days like these!

Tuesday and Wednesday were all about pampering and treats! ✨ Huge thanks to Steph and Donna for making all the ladies' hair and nails look so beautiful on Tuesday.

The last few days at Rosewood Manor have been filled with music and reflection! 🎶
​We were absolutely delighted to have Ian on the piano again—his music brought smiles to everyone's faces! We also dedicated time to creating beautiful displays and decorations for Remembrance Day, which was a meaningful activity for our residents. A massive shoutout and thank you to the talented Chris Hyde for an incredible performance that was enjoyed by all!

What a SPOOKTACULAR Halloween at Rosewood Manor! 🎃👻
​We started the day keeping nice and nimble with G-Fitness to get our energy up, and then it was time for our very special Halloween Party!
​A huge thank you to The 2 of Diamonds 🎤 for the amazing singing and playing—they certainly got the party atmosphere going! The residents enjoyed a delicious feast of hot dogs, burgers, and some absolutely STUNNING cakes (thank you so much, Ollie and Rhonda!). 🧁
​And look at these decorations! A massive thank you to Daisy, Rachel, and Elle-mae for doing an awesome job today—the home looks incredible! 🕸️
​None of this would be possible without the hard work and love of all the staff at Rosewood. Thank you, everyone, for making today so special! ❤️

😂 Two Days of Fabulous Fun at Rosewood Manor! 🪅
​What a fabulous Tuesday and Wednesday it’s been here at Rosewood Manor! We’ve been busy, and the laughs have been non-stop!
​🧶 Tuesday kicked off with our Knitting Club, where Mark decided to spice things up by playfully teasing Marion, decorating her head with the wool! In the afternoon, we got a head start on our Guy Fawkes creation, but Marian had better ideas—covering herself up with paper instead!
​🎃 Wednesday was all about getting ready for Halloween! We had a brilliant time decorating our sensory room and then it was time for the main event: the piñata! The sweets went flying, but not before Jo and carol decided Mark was a better target for a playful swat! Luckily, Steph was right there to capture all the hilarious moments on camera! 📸
​🤸 And as if that wasn't enough, we finished off Wednesday afternoon getting thoroughly worn out with Hannah from Boogie Beatz!
​It just goes to show, there's never a dull moment when the Rosewood Manor family gets together!

This morning, our residents were completely captivated by the beautiful sounds of our Classical Music Club. Then, this afternoon's highlight was a wonderful performance by the talented Zoe Snow ! She was simply fantastic. Mark had to bypass and make sure Peggy's nails were done too!

Yesterday, we bid a fond farewell to our incredible Virginia as she worked her last shift at Rosewood Manor. We are going to miss her bright smile and dedication terribly!
​The good news is that she's only leaving to focus on her exciting house move, and we're thrilled that she's staying within the Acacia Care family.
​Virginia, thank you for everything you've done for our residents and the team. We wish you the very best of luck with your move—come back and visit soon! ✨
