🎄 Rosewood Manor's Festive Fun & Fundraising! 🎁
What a wonderfully busy and heartwarming couple of days we've had here at Rosewood Manor!
Yesterday was our special Elf Day to raise money and awareness for the amazing work of the Alzheimer's Society! Our wonderful staff paid a fee for the privilege of wearing fantastic elf costumes, spreading some serious festive cheer! 💚❤️
We combined our fundraising with a brilliant Family Arts and Craft Day! Residents and their loved ones had a fantastic time making:
* Beautiful Wreaths 🌿
* Charming Gingerbread Houses 🏠
* Homemade Christmas Crackers ✨
* ...and lots of other festive bits!
Today we slowed the pace down a little for our popular Knit and Natter session 🧶. Steph was wisely keeping a close eye on her needles, making sure Mark didn't get his hands on her knitting (we all remember last time! 😉). We finished the afternoon with a relaxing session of jigsaws, proving that teamwork makes the dream work!

We are delighted to offer a very special opportunity for our residents and their families to capture beautiful, lasting memories this holiday season!
On Friday, December 12th, from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, our talented Night Care Manager, Bex, who is also an experienced photographer, will be hosting a special photo shoot.
What to Expect:
Capture precious moments with your loved ones.
We'll have professional backdrops and the beautiful surroundings of our Christmas trees.
How to Book Your Slot:
Spaces are limited, so if you are interested in having a photo taken with your resident loved one, please reserve your spot!

A packed couple of days at Rosewood Manor! 🎅
We are officially in full swing for December!
🕯️ Yesterday: A beautiful Advent Service with a fantastic turnout. It was heartwarming to see so many people there.
🎄 Today: A brilliant trip out to the Christmas Tree Festival to admire the lights and decorations.
🎨 This Afternoon: We are winding down back at home with some relaxing festive colouring.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here!

Maybe Christmas doesn't come from a store... 💚🎄
Our residents and team have been busy channeling their inner Whoville for the St Dionysius Church Christmas Tree Festival! 🎅✨
With this year’s theme being "Christmas Movies," we couldn't resist choosing the classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas. 🎥
📸 Here is a sneak peek, but to get the full festive effect (and to see if our Grinch has a heart two sizes too small!), you really need to see it in person!
You have until Tuesday to catch the festival. It’s a wonderful outing and supports a great local cause.

Our residents have been busy enjoying a fantastic lineup of activities over the past few days, and we had a very special visitor!
Classical Music Club then the wonderful Annemarie singing beautiful melodies.
A visit from the sweetest therapy dog, Luna! She brought smiles to everyone's faces.
Fitness Friday bringing the energy with Tom and his G-Fitness session!
Relaxing Yoga sessions with Helen, perfect for mindfulness and movement.
We love seeing everyone engaged and having fun! What activity should we try next week? Let us know!

Get ready to feel the festive magic! We've been working hard and are officially set for Christmas here at Rosewood Manor Care Home.
We have truly transformed our home into a winter wonderland for our wonderful residents:
Five magnificent Christmas trees indoors 🌲
A gorgeous real Christmas tree standing proud outside
Plenty of joyful inflatables adding a fun touch
Don't miss the show-stopper: our Ground Floor Enchanted Land display! It's a must-see!
We can't wait to share this magical time with everyone!

Rosewood Residents are Out and About! 🚶‍♀️🛍️
It's been a wonderful last couple of days here at Rosewood Manor. We had a great time with walks and talks into town, enjoying the fresh air and stopping for some well-deserved shopping and coffee. ☕
Back at the home, our residents have been indulging! Steph led some fabulous pamper sessions with the nail kit, leaving everyone feeling refreshed. 💅 Plus, the festive spirit is in the air—a big thank you to Mark and Ruth for their hard work decorating our trees and making Rosewood look beautiful! 🌟

Day Out and Entertainment at Rosewood Manor! 🤩
We had a brilliant day out, starting with a trip on the community bus to Langton Garden Centre. Everyone loved browsing and catching up over a hot drink and cake. A special shoutout to Eric, who certainly knows how to enjoy a day trip, opting for a refreshing G&T! Cheers, Eric! 🥂
The fun continued back at the home as the fabulous Zoe Snow treated us to an afternoon of singing and smiles. Her voice is just beautiful!
Thank you to Zoe and everyone who contributed to making today so memorable for our residents! ❤️

The festive preparations are well underway! Our wonderful residents have been practicing their vocals for the upcoming carol singing events, with guidance from the fantastic John. We can't wait to hear them! 🔔
To keep the energy high, we enjoyed a friendly game of Dominoes this morning with Jane, and then cranked up the music for an afternoon of brilliant moves with Boogie Beatz led by Hannah!
A huge thank you to everyone involved!

The team at Rosewood Manor is feeling a little sad today as we say goodbye to our incredible Care Manager, Elle Mae. She has been a vital part of our family, and her wonderful commitment to our residents and team will be truly missed.
We wish Elle Mae all the happiness and adventure as she embarks on her exciting travelling journey! We can't wait to hear all about it.
