Something I’ll always be honest about is...
Not every skin is ready for advanced treatments and that’s okay
Before I even think about microneedling, peels, or injectables, I assess one thing first: your skin barrier health.
Because if the barrier isn’t functioning properly, we’re building on an unstable foundation and that can lead to irritation, inflammation, and poor results.
Here’s what I look for during consultation:
Tightness, flaking or redness that doesn’t settle
A shiny, yet dry texture (often a sign of over-exfoliation)
Heightened sensitivity to products
Breakouts that worsen after active skincare
A dull, papery look that lacks bounce
All of these are signs your barrier needs repairing before we do anything advanced.
In those cases, I’ll take a few weeks to rebuild skin health first using hydrating, restorative treatments and medical-grade skincare that strengthen the barrier from within.
Once your skin is stable, treatments like RF Microneedling, peels, or Profhilo deliver far better, longer-lasting results.
Healthy skin always comes first.
If you’re not sure what your skin needs right now, book a consultation. I’ll assess your barrier, hydration levels, and structure before creating a treatment plan that’s genuinely right for you.
