I was thinking this week about who online coaching ISN'T for...
My genuine initial response is, there aren’t many people that it really won’t work for
If you want the best overall approach to losing body fat and drastically changing the way you look and feel, it’s likely this will tick the boxes.
But of course, there have been people in the past that it hasn’t worked for- here’s why it didn’t work for them:
1) It’s not “in person” and some people need to turn up to a certain place, at a certain time and be put through their paces by a real human. These people are far better suited to 1:1 personal training and I’m not going to try and persuade them anyone other way because remote nature of online coaching simply doesn’t fit their needs.
2) I don’t write meal plans, I (dare I say it) won’t ever write meal plans because I genuinely don’t believe meal plans solve anyone’s problems.
I could write you a meal plan for 8 weeks, where you eat the same s**t day in, day out and let’s say you even lose 10KG.
Then what? The meal plan hasn’t taught you any real life eating habits, so unless you want to go backwards, you’d need to be on a meal plan for the rest of your life and no-one wants that.
It’d be much more useful if I taught you how to use calories and macros to eat flexibly, in real life situations, in order to meet your goals, which is of course exactly what I do.
3) Some people just aren’t willing to break out of old habits, that haven’t served them positively, to form new ones that’ll change their life. That’s not me being a dick, it’s just the truth.
People that have succeeded at literally anything in the world all have one thing in common- they worked at it.
If you’re not willing to work at yourself, online coaching or in fact any fitness coaching, isn’t for you right now. I have the BEST time working with individuals who want to listen and learn in order to improve themselves and reach their goals.
