✨Introducing Selkie Sessions.✨

Think relaxed, cosy creative nights with no pressure and no expectations of being “good at art” — just creating for joy, not perfection.

Pup & Paint is a relaxed life drawing evening with a twist. Instead of a human model, we’ll have a gorgeous pooch and their human sitting for us — our very first Selkie Muse. 🖌️

Before anyone panics, this isn’t an art class.

I won’t be teaching, there’s no pressure and absolutely no experience needed. Stick dogs, chaotic scribbles, abstract masterpieces… it’s all welcome. This is simply about having fun, meeting lovely like-minded women, and exploring creativity without pressure.

Out of the treatment room until 9th March 🤍

I’m heading off for a quiet, cosy little digital detox to celebrate my love’s big 30, so I’ll be completely offline and won’t be responding to messages during this time.

All bookings can still be made via the website, and I’ve got a few remaining spaces left for the rest of March if you’ve been meaning to get yourself in.

The last two weeks have been pure chaos in the best way — busy, beautiful, and honestly a little overwhelming. I can’t thank you enough for booking, for keeping me so busy, and for being patient while the new space is still very much a work in progress. It means more than you know.

I’m taking this weekend to properly rest and recharge because your girl is burnt out — and I want to come back full of big spring energy, with fresh ideas and a calendar filling up with gorgeous things in the new space… think tarot workshops, creative sessions, women’s gatherings and more. 🌞

Selkie now has a small (WIP) retail space within the treatment room… and I want to fill it with the work of local women who create from the heart.

If you’re a:

Selkie has always been about supporting women to rest, reconnect and feel seen — and that extends to the women who create. I’m not looking for mass-produced or generic. This will be a curated, rotating display inside the Selkie space — not a cluttered shop shelf, but an intentional showcase within a sanctuary environment.

Because of that, all work will need to align with the Selkie space and overall vibe. I won’t be able to take everything on, but I promise it will always be considered thoughtfully and respectfully.

It will be on a sale or return basis, with commission/fees discussed individually to keep things fair and supportive for both sides.

They’re such a powerful reminder of why I do what I do and how much I genuinely love this work. Selkie has introduced me to some of the most incredible women — women I would never have crossed paths with otherwise — and that will never be something I take lightly. This space is more than treatments. It’s connection. It’s trust. It’s shared stories and quiet healing.

When another healer walks through the door and chooses to place that trust in me… it feels even more sacred. To be held to that standard by someone who understands the depth of this work is something I don’t take for granted!

We all know that I LOVE shouting out my favourite small businesses, and I really need to shout about this one!!

Living with chronic pain and C-PTSD means that, even though my nervous system is typically doing okay, it can be really difficult to get it to behave sometimes. My little heart monitor app has literally been screaming at me to ‘take it easy’ because my heart appears to be ‘not coping well.’ How fun!

So, I finally gave in! I booked in with the incredible Abbi and, you guys, WHAT. Absolute bliss.

First off all, it was like stepping into a cloud of calm. Such a serene space! The energies were perfect.
The massage itself was just beautiful! I was so comfortable and at ease! The flow was gorgeous and I felt I could finally breathe properly after far too long of not being able to.

Oh and my heart app? She is is finally happy with me 🤣

SPRING CIRCLE SPOTLIGHT 🌿🥁

I am SO excited to share that the beautiful Clementine Monro Holistic Therapies will be joining us for the Spring Selkie Circle.

Clem is a Drumming Therapy Practitioner, Reiki Master and all round gorgeous soul — and the space she creates is honestly something you feel in your bones.

The frame drum is often called the heartbeat of Mother Earth… echoing the steady rhythm we first heard in the womb. There’s something deeply primal and grounding about it. It’s not just “sound” — it’s vibration, rhythm, remembrance.

Drumming therapy dates back to ancient healing practices, and research now shows what our ancestors already knew — rhythmic drumming can:

🌿 Synchronise brainwaves and support deep relaxation
🌿 Release stored emotion from the body
🌿 Ease physical tension and pain
🌿 Boost mood through endorphin release
🌿 Bring you back into your body in a safe, supported way

For our Spring Circle, Clem’s drumming will be beautifully woven through the guided meditation, creating a deeply immersive experience — rhythm and voice carrying you into that soft, grounded space where real release can happen.

She will also be offering one-to-one intuitive readings on the day for those who feel called to go a little deeper ✨

This week I got dangerously close to closing the doors on Selkie

For the first time in a year of business, I had to reschedule every client due to the roadworks on Market Rasen High Street — right outside my treatment room window.

I knew about the closure.
What I didn’t know was:
• Exactly where the works would be situated
• That they would be directly outside my treatment room window
• The severity of the noise disruption

I received no correspondence outlining the nature or exact location of the works. I’ve since spoken to other businesses in the building and along the high street, and many weren’t informed at all or were told incredibly last minute. One week of rearranging has already cost hundreds — six weeks wouldn’t have been sustainable.

Monday felt heavy. And honestly? Even this post is downplaying how stressful this week has been.

But… plot twist ✨

I’ve been offered a ground floor room in the same building — and I’m moving immediately.

Accessible. Light and spacious. Own front door. Away from the noise. And finally space for circles, workshops and collaborations. 🥹

What felt like a crisis has become the shift I’ve quietly been asking for. I’ll be there morning, noon and night getting it ready for Monday — I already LOVE it and can’t wait to welcome you in… but there’s a lot to do 😂

Thank you to every client who rebooked. Selkie is built on calm and nervous system care — and I won’t compromise that.
