Life moves fast, and most of us are living in a constant state of “go.” Over time, that stress settles into the nervous system, affecting how we sleep, how we feel, and how we show up in the world. Learning to calm the nervous system isn’t self-indulgent — it’s essential for our wellbeing.

Sound has a beautiful way of helping the body slow down. Gentle vibrations signal safety, invite deep rest, and allow the mind to soften without effort.

I feel deeply proud to be part of the Sakala family. To share energy within a sanctuary that so clearly honours presence, compassion, and conscious living is a gift. Helen’s vision has created a home for slowing down, softening, and remembering what it feels like to be held , by the space, by the practices, and by one another.

Every Friday at 10am, I offer a class at Sakala that mirrors this ethos beautifully. Expect a nurturing blend of breathwork, gentle mindful flow, and a deeply restorative Reiki-infused Savasana. The practice is slow, grounding, and accessible, designed to soothe the nervous system, reconnect you to your breath, and bring you back into your body with kindness.
