Building work is happening in Pewsey site this week. This is to make way for our new Prescription Collection Kiosk. This will enable patients to collect their repeat prescriptions from Pewsey site, subject to eligibility. Please speak to the team for more information. We appreciate your patience whist this work is being carried out.

We are hiring!

We are looking for a friendly and caring individual to join our expanding team of nurses and HCAs. You will already be a Healthcare Assistant, ideally working in general practice with experience of SystmOne, although this is not essential.

This is a varied role where the successful candidate will be given training and support to enable them to carry out their role successfully.

This role can be full or part time and includes some 7:00 starts or 20:00 finishes.

Main duties of the job:

This is a varied role which can be tailored to the experience and competencies of the successful candidate.

The main responsibilities include:

Phlebotomy
Undertaking various physiological measurements such as BP, ECG, INR and urinalysis
Conducting NHS healthchecks and advising on lifestyle
Administering vaccines and B12 injections
Dressings and wound checks
Assisting with minor operations
Diabetic checks
Smoking cessation

We are hiring!

This is an exciting new role within the East Kennet PCN, based at Kennet and Avon Medical Partnership (KAMP) (Marlborough and Pewsey surgeries).

The General Practice Assistant (GPA) position is varied, involving a mixture of clinical and administrative responsibilities. You will work closely with both our Quality Assurance team and our nursing team to support day-to-day operations and patient care.

As this is a newly developed role, we are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic about helping to shape and develop the position, working alongside our existing GPA.

We are seeking someone with some clinical skills and ideally experience working in general practice. Knowledge of SystmOne would be an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

This is a diverse role, and the successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to enable them to perform confidently and effectively.

The role can be offered on a full or part time basis and will include some early starts (07:00) or late finishes (20:00).

Damage to Staff Vehicle – Friday 27th February 2026

A staff vehicle in our car park sustained damage on Friday. The other vehicle involved appears to have also incurred significant damage.

If anyone has any information, or if the person involved wishes to notify us so the matter can be resolved, please contact the surgery.

A reminder that our car park is for staff use only, except for the designated Blue Badge spaces, which remain available for patients who require them.
