After yesterday’s disappointment of Englands women losing in the World Cup Final, we think they should feel so proud of what they have achieved, so proud of what they have done for women in sport.

With Serena at the helm we are sure it won’t be long until they will be the ones that walk away with the winner’s trophy. In the meantime, a reminder, ‘Don’t be afraid to start over. This time you’re not starting from scratch, you’re starting from experience.’ That’s a pretty good place to start.

Living just down the road from Avebury stones we can’t help but become a part of the summer solstice. It is the longest day of the year and Celtic traditions even mark it as the start of a new year. We see many people practicing yoga in this sacred space, whether that be physical postures or sitting in quiet meditation.

The 21st of June is also International Yoga day and is often celebrated by performing 108 sun salutations.

We all know the benefits of yoga on our mental and physical health. So today find a moment to sit in quiet contemplation, perhaps think of something you are grateful for and take 5 minutes to sit and breathe in that gratitude, you have over 16hrs of sunlight…we’re sure you can find a spare 5 minutes and your body and mind will thank you for it. 🧘🏼‍♂️🌅☀️

Happy Fathers Day for this Sunday for all those men out there!

To celebrate we wanted to talk about much we love helping men to feel better through mind and body practice. Some of biggest improvements that we see are through our male participants in our sessions.

💫MIND
Men often find it more difficult to open up about stresses and feelings. The out of date saying “man up” no longer applies and “manning up” actually means talking to others..even if it’s a mate in the pub..TALK! So we encourage all men to talk this weekend, turn to friends and family and just talk. It really does help.

💫PHYSICALLY
“Manning up” can also mean looking after your physical health and this week we’ve seen many more men join our face to face classes. Often with tight hamstrings, aching backs and with reduced range in their joints I love seeing the progress that is made through simple exercises and yoga based stretches.

So this weekend give a little extra love to the men in your lives and encourage them to look after themselves and their personal equilibrium 💜💙❤️💚🧘🏼

How are you coping with this heat in the UK? With many people hybrid working their offices are just not set up for the heat at home. The heat can really affect our mental health, causing irritability, stress and for some depression. So here are so simple tips to stay cool when either working at home or in the office.

💫Drink cold food and drinks.

💫Avoid alcohol, caffeine and hot drinks.

💫Take a cool shower or put cool water on your skin or clothes.

💫Keep your living space cool. Close windows and curtains during the day and open them at night.

💫 Take breaks from the screen, and find a cool space, with a fan or a shaded area.

If you have any tips or tricks you use to stay cool in the heat do post them below to help keep yourself mentally and physically safe in the Sun! ☀️☀️

🌟Tickets were sold out in the first two weeks of launching and there is such a buzz with everyone we speak to for our first full day of mind and body practice.
