✨ We’re getting into the Christmas spirit early at Cliveden Manor! ✨

We’ve enjoyed two lovely trips to local garden centres recently. The gents had a fantastic time at Moss End Garden Village and the reptiles were a huge hit! They also explored the gift shop, Michael was especially enamored with a cute toy dog he spotted! 🐶💛, and admired the beautiful Christmas lights.

The ladies then visited Toad Hall Garden Centre, where their stunning winter wonderland displays made the whole trip feel magical and they couldn't resist trying on some of the Christmas Accesories ❄️🎄

It just goes to show that sometimes the simplest outings bring the most joy. 💛

🌟 Shining Star Award for Kporser 🌟

Today we proudly presented one of our nurses, Kporser, with a special Shining Star Award! ✨

Kporser has shown incredible initiative, resilience, and compassion, going above and beyond her duties recently. She has supported residents through end-of-life care and offered equal comfort and guidance to their families.

Her dedication has not gone unnoticed, she has received numerous compliments from both residents and families for her outstanding care and support.

Today, we remembered our fallen with a heartfelt Remembrance Day service. ❤️🌺

Last week, our residents visited the amazing poppy display at Marlow Causeway, thousands of beautifully knitted and crocheted poppies adorned the gates of All Saints Church and the park, creating a truly stunning sight.

Throughout the week, we spent time making our own paper poppies, adding them to our door display in honour of those who served and sacrificed.

This morning, residents came together for a moving service, we sang hymns, shared readings, and reflected together. A special thank you to Reverend Mieke for stepping in at short notice to lead our service, and our prayers go out to Reverend Fiona for a speedy recovery. 💐

At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.” 🌹

🎉 Double Celebration at Cliveden Manor! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Care Assistant, Ramandeep and our GM Karen, our Employees of the Month for October!👏
Both have gone above and beyond in their roles, earning the admiration and appreciation of their peers. Well done to you both, your hard work and dedication truly shine! 🌟

We also had a fantastic Pyjama Day on Friday in support of the wonderful charity Pyjamas for Hospitals, which collects new pyjamas to gift to children spending Christmas in hospital. 💖

Staff came to work in their cosiest PJs, enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies 🍪☕, and agreed it was the most comfortable day ever!

If you’d like to contribute, our pyjama donation box is in our reception area and will be there until the end of November. Let’s help bring a little warmth and comfort to children in hospital this Christmas. 🎁👧🧒

🌸 Life in The Willows 🌸

We’re proud to offer a diverse programme of activities each day for our Willows community, there’s always something different to enjoy! Some of our residents’ favourites include flower arranging, art sessions, and baking.

Last week, we had a wonderful time making cheese scones, creating autumn themed artwork, and arranging beautiful floral displays for our restaurant tables. 🍁🧡

It’s always lovely to see our residents getting creative and enjoying each other’s company! 🌼🎨👩‍🍳

🎃 Happy Halloween from Cliveden Manor! 👻

We kicked off the day with a spooktacular exercise class to some Halloween tunes, followed by a fun-filled Halloween quiz! 🧙‍♀️🕸️

Our residents then embraced their artistic side with some pumpkin painting, all while enjoying delicious cakes and themed cocktails! 🍰🍸🎨

What a great afternoon was had by all here at Cliveden Manor with a much anticipated visit from Harry Ballin and LuLu from Windsor Auctions providing our residents, visitors, and families with an afternoon of complimentary valuations. Such fascinating stories unfolded from the treasures that were presented together with a little twist on the eve of Halloween and of course endless afternoon teas and delicious cakes.

Harry and LuLu were accompanied by Miles, the lovely colourful elephant from Trunks across The Thames, a campaign to support and raise awareness for all the work that The Thames Hospice in Maidenhead do. Already looking forward to the next one, thank you for making the afternoon so special.

Roger celebrated his 100th birthday last weekend surrounded by family and friends and, of course, with a spectacular chocolate cake! 🍫🎂

💗 Pink Day at Cliveden Manor! 💗🎗

Today we celebrated Pink Day in honour of Breast Cancer Now. Our staff and residents proudly donned their pink outfits, enjoyed delicious pink cupcakes and donuts, and took part in our pink raffle! 🎀

We’re thrilled to share that together we raised over £265 for this very special cause. 💕

A huge thank you to everyone who supported, donated, and helped make the day so meaningful! 🌸
