Guys, It Takes Balls to Talk

1 in 5 men won’t reach 45.
75% of UK su***des are men.
The biggest killer of men under 50 isn’t cancer or heart disease—it’s silence.

We’ve been sold a lie that "manning up" means suffering in silence. But real strength? Real strength is talking.

"How’s work?"
"You good, mate?"
*"Need a beer and a vent?"

These conversations save lives. Because su***de isn’t about wanting to die—it’s about wanting the pain to stop. And that pain can be eased by talking, listening, and reaching out.

Guys, we need to do two things:
Talk – Even when it’s awkward. Even when it’s hard. Especially when it’s hard.
Listen – No fixes, no jokes, no "cheer up, mate." Just, "I’m here. “

If your mate’s acting off, ask twice how he is.
Give him a follow-up (maybe a catch-up beer in a month)
If you’re struggling, text a brother, With “###xx, things are a bit s**t can we grab some time tp talk?”
If you need help, GET IT. (No shame. None.)

Having the Balls2Talk isn’t about weakness—it’s about rewriting the rules.

Talk. Listen. Save a life.

Great article, honest and brave balls2talk

I have never been brave enough to publish something I have written online before, though have always admired those who are. It is scary because, a) people that you know will see it, and b) you are basically claiming that your ramblings and musings are important enough to be transmitted via a public....
