🚑 First outing of MWA01 🚑

MWA01 had its first outing today, supporting a 5 mile road race for our regular sporting client.

After a long wait, we are lucky enough to be in a position to purchase a high quality vehicle. As a business, we believe in investing in our assets, to both promote their longevity, but also to promote patient care.

This investment is a small step towards the future for Medical and Water Safety, starting with our CQC application going in, in our commitment to patient safety, patient experience and driving the rise in standards in the event medical industry.

🎇 Fireworks evening 2025

At Medical and Water Safety, some of our favourite evenings are fireworks night. In the last fortnight, we have covered 6 fireworks displays, providing multiple levels of staffing and paramedic lead cover as per our usual standards. Alongside this we covered our usual sporting events.

It may be the start of the ‘quiet’ season, but we certainly aren’t slowing down!

We’re continuing our regular sporting cover, as well as our winter Dragon Boating Regattas.
We’re busy gearing up behind the scenes for various fireworks displays between this weekend and next.

It has been an extremely busy couple of months for our teams providing safety cover to construction sites both on the River Thames and on a number of canals. In the background the Operations Director and Health and Safety Manager have also been working hard gaining accreditation with Constructionline and Rospa. This means we have been externally audited so we can continue to raise the standards in water safety and provide the best level of cover to our clients.

A weekend of rowing and endurance 🚣🚑🏃‍♂️

This weekend we provided safety and medical cover to a large rowing regatta on the , a 12 hour endurance race around a wine estate and two runs, incorporating a variety of kids races, half marathons and 10ks and our last triathlon of the season 😞, with over 1000 competitors.

We provided in total 10 powerboat staff, 5 powerboats, 13 medical staff and 4 response vehicles and exemplary Paramedic lead cover.

This brings a start to our winter calendar of rowing, light events, sporting events and many more! We are very much looking forward to supporting clients old and new, so if you require any medical cover, get in touch! Our team are happy to assist!

What a busy weekend!

We provided medical cover to the prestigious Great River Race, a Ambulance for route and finish line cover. Over 270 boats raced over a 6 hour period.

We’ve also provided medical cover to a standard distance triathlon and family 5k and fun run, as well as supporting industry partners amongst all this!

Well done to all competitors this weekend 🏃‍♂️🚣🚑

At Medical and Water Safety, the safety of our clients and their patients is paramount and our first priority.

Did you know that all medical equipment, regardless of use or function, requires calibration yearly to ensure optimal performance and most importantly, safety.

We work closely with GMM SALES for our testing and calibration services, also offering it to our medical team, ensuring that no matter which medic you get, their kit is tested and safe.

This weekend, we covered the Castle To Coast triathlon, working for ATW on behalf of FullSteam events. We provided a led conveyance ambulance and 2 rapid Response vehicles, for a 66 mile bike ride and 14 mile run!

Luckily, despite the shocking weather conditions, all participants were safe!

This week, we have also covered 1 independent triathlon, 1 10k run, a swim for British Army and a 3 day boat festival.

Busiest weekend of the summer ☀️✅

This weekend we covered 1 concert, 1 Youth Championship, 1 ultra triathlon and trail run, 2 standard distance and Sprint Triathlons and 1 affiliated .

We provided a massive 430 hours over the weekend, consisting of diverse medical teams, powerboat crews and safety paddlers across 4 different counties. This was all whilst providing our regular support to our nightclub contracts and immersive experiences.

We thank all of our clients for trusting us with looking after their competitor safety. Despite the testing weather, our teams still flourished and performed to their best across all events.

Its been another busy week for our training team, we started with an RYA First Aid course then ran a Fire Warden course in London. We then moved out onto the water for an RYA Powerboat Level 2 course and to finish the week off we had an RYA VHF/SRC Exam for one of our online students.
