Our Story
I am an Author and Upledger CranioSacral Therapist with years of experience in private practice, intensive therapy programmes as well as teaching and examining internationally for the Upledger Institute. I have adult and paediatric practices and have a book soon to be published for the Upledger Institute which is all about the emotional stories in our gut. This book, “It’s All in Your gut”, tells my personal story and describes my own journey with my gut following a serious scuba diving accident which left me with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
I have also written a new four day class for the Upledger Institute called CST and Listening to the Second Brain which I am now teaching internationally to train other therapists in how to work with this aspect of ourselves. Upledger Therapy is a light touch, powerful and intelligent form of bodywork that addresses the central nervous system together with the membranes and bones that surround it. Through a series of specific techniques and manipulation, tension and restriction in any part of this system can be released, improving it's function and addressing a wide range of health issues....... headaches and migraines neck and back problems (including post surgery) whiplash jaw issues digestive issues chronic pain and dysfunction multiple sclerosis anxiety and depression PTSD babies with sleeping problems, colic or other issues children with sleeping or eating problems, ASD, ADHD, sensory processing disorder or a wide variety of other disorders. Why am I so passionate about yoga? Over ten years ago I had a very serious scuba diving accident (mentioned briefly above) deep in cold water in which I very nearly drowned. I damaged my lungs, my heart rhythms were all out of sync and I was deeply traumatised.I suffered from severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for some years. My cardiologist put me on a series of anti-arrhythmic drugs which turned me into a zombie. So I found a new cardiologist who supported me coming off all drugs and I took up yoga and breathing. Over the next three years all my crazy heart rhythms went, my body gradually became strong again and I felt better than I imagined would ever be possible again. Yoga enables me to stay calm, switches off my fight and flight, keeps me connected via my breath to my mind and body and my life with yoga is just better on every level. I have a passion for life and want to share that with the world... xx
