Abel Almeida - Health by massage I am a sports and remedial therapist who treats people who have chronic pain and mobility issues.

I have 14 years of experience in sports injury and therapeutic massage. I have worked in Portugal and England in both physio clinics and spas. I have worked with people with a variety of injuries or rehabilitating from surgery including hip and knee replacements. My interest in rehabilitating the body through therapeutic massage started when I experienced massage as an Olympic wrestler in Portugal. For 21 years I put my body through lots of stress and the massage and mobilisation treatment I received eased the pain and enabled me to keep going. I completed my training in Portugal in 2008 and went on to work in one of Lisbon's Physio Clinics, Movifisica treating people with all kinds of injuries

When I moved to England in 2010 I requalified with the Level 5 Diploma in Clinical Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy to enable me to continue practicing in the UK.
