Envy Salon Marske In 2014 I felt that I needed a new direction, which lead me to start my VTCT course in Nail Technology.

Indian head massage, lava shells, pregnancy, Swedish & deep tissue After qualifying, I opened Envy Salon and realised there as there was so much more I wanted to learn, so I qualified in Beauty, then Complementary Therapies, which was all about massages, Reiki and reflexology. In 2016 I rented a room as a salon in Marske later qualifying in Hairdressing and Hair Extensions, and have been happy there ever since.

So true !
This lovely lady fancied hair she could sit on & It would certainly have taken her a lot longer than five hours to grow it, but that’s the genius of a hair salon.
You can come out a few hours later with waist length hair, and people wouldn’t know you haven’t grown it yourself.

Some hair extensions have had a bad rap, but at Envy Salon I always use Remi (cuticle correct) Hair and blend it to perfection to ensure it is invisible and the most comfortable wear for the client.

If you’re curly and ever fancy a change, why not try a curly fringe?!
This client had been contemplating it for awhile and was delighted with her new look.
To make the haircut flow and make those curls bounce up I also took off lots of the weight and blended all the layers.

So… you’ve decided to grow old gracefully and let your own colour grow out… now what? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sometimes you get bored of that, and want to play around with colours again, which is exactly what we did with this client.
By using a Demi- permanent colour she can enjoy the hint of a tint, without the annoying grow out line, as this will just fade out over 24 washes.

Ideal when you want the change but not the commitment!

People lose hair for a variety of reasons and sometimes this can affect your confidence.
If you don’t feel excited by your hair anymore, it’s time to do something about it.
This client was feeling the slump - so we reinvented her, using a mesh-less integration system as she did have a fair amount of hair to anchor the extensions to.
Using a closure on the top to thicken the areas where her hair had started thinning and then fixing regular wefts around the rest of the hairline to match in her new length.
This whole process took six hours, including colouring her own hair and the extensions, but was well worth it to see the smile on her face at the end.

It’s that time of year where frizz is starting to ruin curly haired lives again!

Having a keratin treatment will plump nourish & smooth the cuticles from within, leaving her hydrated and 95% frizz free as it no longer needs to search for moisture from the environment.

If you’d like to switch it up, you can wear your hair straight much easier as a Keratin treatment will cut blow drying times by 50 to 70% and it can loosen your curl pattern without permanently straightening so you are left with sleek defined curls that are frizz free and moisture resistant.

The effects don’t grow out but simply wear off between three and six months which is perfect to get you over the winter period.

My lovely client came in for her roots to be permed as the perm we did in February had grown out quite a lot.

I have this new range of demi permanent colours that are kinder to the hair as they don’t pe*****te the cortex, but still last up to 24 washes (which for my Curly girls could be 12-24 weeks as we don’t wash our hair as often) which means it will probably last you until your next haircut unless you need your regrowth sorting out in between times.
It also acts as a gloss making your hair really shiny as it nourishes the cuticle .
I wanted to try it with some different levels of peroxide to see about the shade variations you can get out of one colour with different lift (yes I’m a geeky scientist at Heart!) but look at all the different shades I managed to get with just one tube of colour!
I can so mix different tubes together to get a browner shade or a blonder shade
So the pallete really is in our hands.
The beauty of a Demi permanent colour means no harsh lines of demarcation. It simply fades out a little wash by wash.
