🕊️ We are saddened to share the passing of Dr Coates, a former GP Partner at our practice.

Although Dr Coates retired a number of years ago, he will be remembered by many for his dedication, kindness, and long-standing commitment to patient care. He will be fondly remembered by both colleagues and the community.

Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this difficult time.

A book of condolence will be available in the waiting room for any patients who would like to leave a message or share a memory. These will be passed on to Dr Coates’ family.

Meningitis Vaccination – Patient Information

Following recent news about a meningitis outbreak in Kent, we understand that some patients may be feeling concerned.

We’d like to reassure you that many routine childhood vaccinations already protect against meningitis, including MenB, MMR, and MenACWY.

👉 The most important thing you can do is make sure you and your family are up to date with all routine vaccinations.

A few key points:

The MenB vaccine is part of the routine childhood schedule (given at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and 1 year).

Babies can catch up on missed MenB vaccines up to age 2.

The MenB vaccine is not routinely offered to children over 2 or adults, unless they are in a higher-risk group.

The MenACWY vaccine is offered in school (Year 9), and can be given up to age 25 if missed.

If you need any further information please use the link below or contact the surgery.
