Peakside Physiotherapy is now based in Darley Dale. Previously known as Matlock Physio, the clinic was formerly located at Arc Leisure.

Peakside Physiotherapy provides assessment and treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions including back and neck pain, sports injuries, and general aches and pains.

The clinic is easily accessible from Matlock and surrounding areas, and appointments are currently available.

Your First Matlock Physio Appointment:

If you're thinking about booking in but aren’t sure what actually happens in a physiotherapy assessment, here’s a quick look at the process.

📝 1. A chat about your symptoms and goals
We start with a conversation so I can understand what's been going on, how it’s affecting your day-to-day activities, and what you'd like to get back to doing.

🦵 2. Movement and strength testing
I’ll look at how the area moves, how different muscles are working, and how everything fits together. This helps guide the plan we create.

🤲 3. Hands-on treatment (if suitable)
This may include joint mobilisation, soft tissue techniques, shockwave and taping, depending on what we find in the assessment.

🏋️ 4. Exercise guidance
If needed, we’ll go through a simple set of exercises tailored to you, with clear instructions so you know exactly what to do between sessions.

📅 5. A plan that makes sense for you
Before you leave, we’ll agree a practical, realistic plan based on your goals and what we’ve identified in the session.

After years of helping people move better down in Dorset (where he ran his own successful clinic), Aaron has made Matlock home – and he’s brought his expertise with him.

He’s worked with everyone from busy desk workers to weekend warriors, and his approach is simple: time, proper listening, and treatment that actually fits your life. Whether that’s hands-on physio, exercises you can actually stick to, or straight-talking advice, Aaron’s focus is always on what matters to you.

When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll probably find him out on the hills (too often with a stop at a pub 🍺), in the gym, or cheering on the football – but most of all, spending time with his family and friends.
