A person who is using coercive control is a master puppeteer, controlling not only you, but those around you, distorting the reality of your situation. They are often charming, seemingly plausible and rational….and yet you know something isn’t right.
Hypnotherapy is there for when you are ready to follow your instincts. It can help clear your mind, simplify your situation and get to the facts. Then you can move on - in any direction you want.
The Government definition of coercive control includes the following:
• Coercive behaviour is an act or a pattern of acts of assault, threats, humiliation and intimidation or other abuse that is used to harm, punish, or frighten their victim
• Controlling behaviour is a range of acts designed to make a person subordinate and/or dependent by isolating them from sources of support, exploiting their resources and capacities for personal gain, depriving them of the means needed for independence, resistance and escape and regulating their everyday behaviour
