Whilst I am a little active this evening on social media, I just thought I would touch on Direct Cremations, also known as an Unattended Cremation.
We are often asked do you offer this service Sally, and my reply is simply yes we do.
Just this coming week I shall be overseeing two direct cremations. One will be a direct, non attended cremation, and the second will be an attended direct cremation.
An attended direct cremation allows family/ friends (up to 8 people) to say farewell at the crematorium to walk into the service room with their loved one, choose a piece of music and sit and reflect quietly for 10 minutes, giving those families who do not wish to have a full funeral a chance to still be with their loved ones to the very end.
Whether you choose a direct unattended cremation or a direct attended cremation, I will personally always convey your loved one to the crematorium guided under my personal supervision.
Always speak with your local funeral director, you will know your loved one is being looked after locally, unlike some nationwide companies you may see advertising on your tv.
And again, unlike these nationwide companies, you’re not dealing with arrangements over the phone, you can deal with your funeral director face to face and have that peace of mind that your loved ones are always under the best of care and remain with us until the day of their funeral.
