🎄✨ Advent calendar magic at Southwell Court! ✂️🖍️

We spent the afternoon crafting our own advent calendars—glitter, glue, and giggles galore. The residents got stuck in (some more than the glue!) and the results were absolutely charming. A few cheeky chocolates may have disappeared early… but who’s counting?

🌍💛 Today at Southwell Court, we celebrated World Kindness Day with heart and creativity! Our residents came together to create a beautiful Kindness Board, filled with names and notes about the people who brighten our days with their warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit.

From kind carers and thoughtful family members to fellow residents who always share a smile—every contribution reminded us how powerful kindness can be. The lounge was full of laughter, stories, and a few happy tears as we honoured those who make the world feel softer and safer.

Kindness really is contagious… and today, it spread like sunshine ☀️

📚 Thursday Morning Book Club Joy!
Our lovely residents gathered once again for their weekly dose of stories, laughter, and thoughtful conversation. From classic mysteries to heartwarming tales, the pages came alive as everyone shared their reflections and favourite moments. The kettle was on, the biscuits were flowing, and the room was filled with warmth and connection.

🎃👻 Spooktacular fun at Southwell Court! 👻🎃
Our residents and staff got into the Halloween spirit with some frightfully fabulous pumpkin carving and spine-tingling costumes! From witches to werewolves, the creativity was flowing and the laughter was contagious.

A huge thank you to our amazing team for bringing the spooky magic—and a whole lot of joy—to the home. It was a day full of giggles, glitter, and ghoulish good fun! 🧙‍♀️🕸️🧛‍♂️

🎀 Think Pink at Southwell Court! 🎀

Today we proudly raised awareness for breast cancer and thought pink in style! 💗 Our residents and staff pulled out all the stops—every shade of pink was on show, and everyone looked absolutely fabulous in their outfits!

We celebrated with delicious cake and a fun pink-themed quiz that brought plenty of smiles and laughter. A huge thank you to everyone who took part and made the day so special 💕

🪔✨ Diwali spirit in full glow at Southwell Court! ✨🪔
Our residents spent a joyful afternoon crafting beautiful Diwali lanterns—full of colour, creativity, and plenty of laughter. From shimmering paper to cheeky glitter choices, each lantern tells a story of celebration and togetherness.

It was a lovely way to honour the Festival of Lights and brighten up our home with handmade magic. Proud of every sparkle and smile! 🌟

🎉🎂 Celebrated Rose’s Birthday Yesterday! 🎂🎉

What a fabulous day we had — full of smiles, surprises, and a whole lot of love! Rose was absolutely glowing as she opened her presents sounded by laughter, cake, and the best company anyone could ask for.

From the thoughtful gifts to the cheeky jokes and a few happy tears, it was one of those days that reminds you how special our Southwell Court family really is. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make it magical

This week, our dining room was transformed into a floral wonderland as residents gathered for a joyful flower arranging session. With laughter in the air and petals on the table, everyone got stuck in—snipping, styling, and creating beautiful displays to brighten up our home.

From elegant centrepieces to wild bursts of colour, each arrangement added a personal touch and a whole lot of heart. Now our dining room looks—and smells—absolutely blooming lovely! 💐💕

Southwell Court to Open May 1st 2019

We are very excited to announce the opening of our Southwell Court Care Home on May 1st 2019. Having undergone thorough refurbishment, our residents are sure to enjoy not only the new fully en-suite wet room facilities but a private dining room for families, a salon, library, cinema and games room.

Southwell Court is part of the Black Swan Care Group, an established group of residential care homes across East Anglia. The residence will be managed by Loreta Moss, who recently achieved an ‘Outstanding’ rating with the Care Quality Commission at her last inspection.
