Welcome to Moreton Aesthetics and our clinic located in the beautiful Stanley House Hotel, Ribble Valley. I am a Dentist in Lancashire and qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2009. I also hold qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS, 2011) and the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MJDF, 2010). I am Level 7 qualified, with a Diploma in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies (Masters equivalent) with Acquisition Aesthetics. Moreton Aesthetics provides facial aesthetics, medical grade skincare and hair loss therapy. This includes dermal fillers, anti-wrinkle consultations, microneedling, chemical peels, skin boosters and Profhilo and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments. If there is one thing I wish more people knew, it is this: the biggest risks in aesthetics rarely come from the treatment itself, they come from where and who you trust with your face. And the red flags are far easier to spot than you think.

When someone tells you that you do not need a consultation, that is a problem. A proper assessment is the foundation of safe treatment. Your medical history, anatomy, goals and risks cannot be understood in a two-minute chat.

If they cannot tell you what product they are using or avoid naming it altogether, walk away. Safe practitioners are transparent about brands, ingredients and why they choose a specific product for you. Anything less is unacceptable.

And then there is pricing that looks “too good to be true”. Injectable treatments using reputable, licensed products do not cost £80 a ml. When prices are that low, corners are being cut somewhere. It is either the product, the training, the hygiene or the oversight. None of those are worth gambling with.

Aesthetics should be safe, transparent and medically grounded. If any part of the process feels vague or rushed, trust that instinct.

That’s kind of the point 😉 when the treatment results are so natural, and so good, you just look like you’re ageing effortlessly! ⬆️

The thing is, it’s easier to prevent lines than reverse them.

Treatments like skin boosters and anti-wrinkle injections are a very effective preventative method. As we age, the movement of the muscles under the surface of the skin becomes less dynamic and more static, which means fine lines and wrinkles will begin to become continuously present and not just during movement.

When used on small muscles in the upper face, anti-wrinkle treatments smooth out these fine lines and prevents them from becoming etched on our faces.

The right time to start is once you begin to see static lines – that are still there even when your face is at rest, or just before this. The age at which this happens varies from person to person and depends on factors like genetics and sun exposure, but typically it’s at some point in your early thirties.

It’s best to catch a line when it’s still in the early phases because once it becomes a deep line, Botox may soften it, but won’t remove it completely.

One of the biggest mistakes I see with stubborn pigmentation is treating melasma like ordinary sun spots. It’s not the same thing, and it never will be. This is why so many people end up with darker patches after trying strong products or aggressive in-clinic treatments.
