We provide innovative, person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities
At Support and Connections we work to empower people with disabilities to.....
Socialise and engage in community
Gain work experience and employability skills
We provide daytime opportunities for adults with disabilities in our own vibrant bases; in the community and in their own homes. We have been running since 2012 and have bases in Syston and Melton Mowbray but are able to support people from across Leicestershire. We support people with a range of needs including complex needs, such as those associated with autism. Our highly- qualified and experienced staff mean we are able to offer a flexible and extensive choice of activities and types of support. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide personal care and community-based support.
At Support and Connections we pride ourselves on offering flexibility and person-centred support. We offer a wide range of activities that are tailored to meet the needs and preferences of each individual. Every individual that attends our service is involved in planning their timetable of activities and is invited to regular support plan reviews to ensure that they are getting the most out of their time with us.
We currently operate out of facilities in Syston and Melton Mowbray. Our main base is in Melton Mowbray, where we have a wood work unit and an allotment, with plenty of space for growing flowers, fruit and vegetables. We also have a large kitchen, in which we do baking and catering activities and a craft area. The Secret Tearoom at Syston Northfields Tennis Club opens to the public on Wednesdays selling tea, coffee, cakes and cobs between 10.30am and 2.00pm.
Support and Connections would like to introduce our new enterprise centre for people with learning disabilities in Melton which started in June 2018.
