We are Deben Willow Care Ltd based within Woodbridge. We are a privately-owned provider of care services within the community. We are looking for committed Community Care Workers to join our existing team.
As a member of our community care team, you will visit clients in their own homes helping them to remain independent supporting them and offering services including personal care, medication support, companionship amongst a non-exhaustive list of support tasks that support and assist individuals to remain independent, safe, happy and content within their own home environment.

Community care team leader!

Due to the introduction of a continued resource of new full time care staff (overseas nursing and care trained) to our team, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an efficient, well organised and experienced team leader to join our team based in Melton, near Woodbridge, Suffolk.

We require a dynamic and committed team member who has an eye for detail and a committed approach to the supervision of the highest standards of care delivery to our large and diverse customer base. Reliability, commitment and a passion for care are the minimum standards we require, coupled with the ability to work as a team member or if circumstance require think on your feet and be confident to deal with any scenario that confronts you as an individual.

Job role:

The role of the Team leader is to work as part of a team of 3, working with the Registered Care Manager and Business manager to maintain compliance across the business structure and care delivery.

Brief Overview: (Full information at Interview stage)

To support the highest quality of care delivery and support care services by conducting assessments and reviews of individual service users and the practical supervision, instruction and support of our community care workers. As part of the team you will be monitoring/assessing the service provision to provide valued and innovative ideas and approaches on improvement and progression if and when required as the business model expands, working alongside the dedicated co ordinator to optimise schedules and deploy our dependable workforce, ensuring all our existing and new service users receive the highest standards in the delivery of care

The post rotates on a shift basis, that involves a two/three week shift pattern. As well as the predominant role within office hours, there is a requirement to monitor any out of hours enquires and allocation of care staff to cover occasional sickness of rostered staff on an early and late shift basis and support the out of hours facility on rotating weekends (There will be in place standby care staff as the first line of sickness cover).

The weekend out of hours service involves holding the on call phone from home, Unless pre planned operational requirements require otherwise. Sickness cover will be sourced from our bank of full time care staff.

Daily Work/Shift Pattern:

AM Shift - 6am to 2pm Mon-Fri

PM Shift - 3.30pm to 10pm Mon - Fri

Office hours - 9am to 5pm Mon - Fri

Job Role Requirements:

Level 3 Care Qualification or working towards (Minimum)

Proven experience in prior post preferable

An application to maintain care delivery compliance, to the highest standards

Full Driving Licence

Good IT Skills in Microsoft word and Excel essential

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £12.00-£13.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Woodbridge: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

supervisory: 1 year (preferred)

Proving care: 2 years (preferred)

The role:

- Pull data together from different sources to compile monthly payroll

- Run mileage reports for all staff on a monthly basis

- Make bank payments for wages and mileage

- Post data to correct nominal codes and reconcile bank accounts using Sage accountancy software

- Invoice clients on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis using Excel and partner agency systems

- Taking holiday bookings for staff, calculating accrual and payments due

- Order office supplies as required

- Ensure supplier invoices are settled in a timely manner

- Assist staff with queries relating to pay, holiday and other issues

Your qualities:

- Ideally have experience within a financial role
