🌿 Volunteers Wanted - Help Us Create a Community Allotment at Our Woodland Burial Ground 🌿

We’re starting something special and would love your help.
We’re planning a small allotment area at our woodland burial ground where families can come, connect with nature, and spend peaceful time close to their loved ones resting here.

We’re looking for green-fingered volunteers, gardeners, growers, nature lovers, and anyone who enjoys being outdoors to help us design, plant, and care for the allotment.

You don’t need to be an expert, just kind, reliable, and happy to get your hands in the soil 🌼
If you’re feeling a bit lonely or would simply enjoy meeting others in a calm, friendly setting, you’d be very welcome too.

This will be a respectful, gentle space, and your help will make a real difference.

What a wonderful wassail at Mayfields Orchard! 🌳🍎
The sun was shining, the apple trees were glowing, and our voices filled the orchard with song as we celebrated the coming harvest. Visitors enjoyed homemade apple bakes, warming homemade soup, and cozy lamb’s wool, perfect for a crisp winter day.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and to Pomona Orchard for bringing music, cheer, and community spirit. What a joyful day to celebrate nature, tradition, and good company!

Although our woodland burial ground is open, the recent icy weather has made the grounds unsafe. For everyone’s safety, access to the grounds is temporarily closed until conditions improve and the ice has thawed.

If you need access for any reason, the office is open. Please speak to a member of staff, who will be happy to assist you further.
