Small habits that can quietly change your body (the Bowen way)

So many people wait until they’re in real pain before they listen to their body.

But from a Bowen perspective, it’s the small daily habits that either support your nervous system… or slowly overload it.

Here are 5 simple things that make a big difference:

💧 Hydrate properly
Your fascia is largely made of water. When you’re dehydrated, tissues become stiff and irritated more easily. Water helps everything glide and function better.

⚡ Mineralise, don’t just hydrate
Your nervous system runs on electrical signals — and minerals like magnesium and potassium are essential for muscles to contract and relax properly.

🌀 Deal with niggles early
Small aches are often the beginning of a compensation pattern. The longer it’s ignored, the deeper it sets. Early support = less unraveling later.

🌬 Breathe lower and slower
Shallow breathing keeps the body in low-level stress. The diaphragm connects into the spine and pelvis — your breath directly affects your posture and tension patterns.

One of the things that surprises people most is how quickly things can shift.
