Children under 6 are now being offered the MMRV vaccine instead of MMR as part of the NHS routine childhood vaccination programme.
This replaces the existing MMR vaccine and adds protection against chickenpox, alongside measles, mumps and rubella.
You don’t need to do anything — your GP will contact you when your child is due.

Surgery Modernisation Update
The waiting room has now reopened, and work has begun on the disabled toilet.

The box for repeat medication requests has been moved to the left of the middle door.

We understand that this is a very busy time of year for everyone. However, if you have an appointment with us, please make every effort to attend or give us plenty of notice if you need to cancel, so we can offer the appointment to someone else.

Our team is under significant pressure this week due to the high volume of appointment requests. To make you aware, so far this week we have had 3 hours and 10 minutes of appointments that were not attended meaning 18 patients could have been seen instead.

This year’s Christmas hamper winner is Freya Toynton and her family.

At the beginning of this year, Freya and her family received a life-changing diagnosis, which has meant many hospital appointments, stays in hospital, and trips to Nottingham—sometimes resulting in the family being apart. Throughout it all, Freya has faced many challenges, showing just how strong and brave she truly is.

We truly hope this hamper brings a smile to their faces and a little extra joy this Christmas ❤️🎁

The festive season can be fun, but it can also be overwhelming. It’s okay to feel a mix of emotions, and it’s important to make time for yourself.
Set boundaries: It’s okay to say no.
Take breaks: Rest is just as important as celebration.
