It's been a while since I last put something into this space — and that's because there have been a lot of changes going on behind the scenes at Alexandra Hypnotherapy.
So, for old and new followers alike, this is where we're heading.
My work is going deeper than it's ever gone before.
Those of you who have been clients in the last eight months will have noticed the style of the work has changed — to the point where it doesn't look like your usual hypnotherapy at all.
And that's because I've been developing and honing something that can reach the parts traditional approaches couldn't touch.
We work at a level that changes things permanently — what we might call the identity level. The part where all the subconscious programmes are held. Programmes you weren't even aware of, but which had been shaping every decision you ever made.
This is very exciting work.
Everything has a root — and from here on in, that's where my client work is focused. Resolving the emotions and beliefs that sit at the core of every negative experience.
What it means for you:
Everything you want to work on can still be addressed — but it will be designed to last, and that means deeper work.
This is about changing you at a level far below the symptom.
That means programmes rather than one-off sessions. Depth work needs room to breathe — not to be rationed month by month depending on what's in the bank.
It means we build on what happened in the session before, without having to keep revisiting the same ground.
It means issues have a finish line. It means we work with structure because we're both committed to a plan — and you'll find change happens naturally, and faster than you'd expect.
The really important things can now be tackled properly:
Social anxiety
Low self-worth
Confidence problems
Panic attacks
Trauma
Emotional eating
Relationship patterns
Health anxiety
All of these can now be addressed at the level where they were caused.
Everything else I do is still available — and my new approach has made those faster and easier than ever.
Fear of flying, and simple phobias — spiders, dentists, needles, blood, dogs, wasps — are now straightforward to resolve, and I'm keeping them firmly in my offering. They matter. They change people's lives. And I love sorting them.
The one thing that has changed
I'm withdrawing the free initial consultation. I introduced it twelve years ago when no one else in the area was offering it — and it gave me a huge amount of experience and a great many clients.
But twelve years, 2,500 clients and 9,000 hours later, I've earned the right to charge for what is now genuine expertise.
That first appointment has become something more substantial.
I've extended it back to 40 minutes and turned it into a serious piece of work in its own right — the Mapping Session.
In that time we go deep into your patterns, and you'll learn more about yourself than from a lifetime of self-help or most talking therapies.
You'll see what's actually been running the show, perhaps for the very first time.
The Mapping Session is £97. You can read all about it on the website.
For fear of flying and simple phobia work, there's an optional 25-minute consultation at £45 — a space to ask questions or cover anything that might otherwise eat into your treatment time.
It's there for those who want it. If you're confident enough to book straight in, you can.
