Claire is one of the passionate Peer Support Workers on our Mutual Minds team.

She was drawn to peer support because she wanted to be there for others—someone who can genuinely listen, understand, and offer empathy. Over time, she has supported people facing mental health challenges, helping them feel heard, valued, and reminded that there is hope ahead.

Drawing on her own lived experience, Claire provides support in a way that feels personal and authentic—whether that’s joining someone for a walk, sharing a coffee, or offering encouragement before an appointment. Her goal is always to walk alongside people, not to fix, but to be a supportive presence every step of the way.

Simon is one of the dedicated peer support workers who make up our Mutual Minds team.

He first became interested in peer support after the role was recommended to him during his time with Impact on Teesside. Since then, he has been working alongside people experiencing mental health challenges, showing empathy, listening without judgment, and helping them see that there can be light at the end of the tunnel.

Being able to support others using his lived experience gives Simon a real sense of purpose and fulfillment — something he brings to his role every day, helping people feel heard, understood, and supported.

We were delighted to welcome Vision Building Services, one of our Platinum Partners, to visit our Safe Haven and Be Heard projects. 💙
