💜 Grief Workshop – You Don’t Have to Go Through It Alone 💜

Grief can feel isolating, confusing, and overwhelming — especially in a world that often doesn’t know how to talk about loss. Our upcoming Grief Workshop, ran by Borderlands Creative People & Places, offers a gentle, supportive space to pause, connect, and share with others who understand.

Led by experienced grief facilitator Emma Conally-Barklem, these sessions blend open conversation, journalling, and creative expression.

Together, we’ll explore:
✨ How grief is viewed in society
✨ Common myths and taboos around loss
✨ Healthier, more compassionate ways to live with grief

Whether your loss is recent or from years ago, 💜 whatever your experience of loss, you’ll be met with understanding and compassion.
📅 Mondays & Wednesdays
🗓 2nd March – 11th March
⏰ 12:30pm – 2:30pm
📍Tees Valley Womens Centre Upper Albion Street, South Bank, TS6 6XG

To book a place, please call 01642 296166 ☎️

This is a calm, compassionate space centred on connection, understanding, and support. If you think this could help you — or someone you know — please reach out or share this post 💚

Something B I G happened recently. The email we’ve been hoping for finally landed in our inbox: “Good news - you’ve got the funding.”

We’re really proud to share that ThroughFilm has been awarded funding from the National Lottery Environmental Awards For All. 🎉

Some of you might remember us working with Cultivate Tees Valley last year, helping to promote their incredible environmental work. It was while spending time on their sites - talking, listening, and learning from the Cultivate community - that an idea began to take shape. We realised there was a real opportunity to bring together what we do best with something that genuinely matters.

SO, over the next 18 months, we’ll be delivering an Environmental Education and Digital Advocacy project with young people in Stockton-on-Tees.

The aim is simple, but ambitious: to support young people to better understand environmental responsibility and give them the tools to speak up about it. Through a series of workshops, we’ll explore the changes our planet needs, help participants research local and global environmental issues, and turn that knowledge into action - using filmmaking and storytelling as the vehicle. Not just to inform or learn, but to advocate and be heard, and to shape the future they're inheriting🥬🌎🍎🍐

We are so so excited to get started!!🎥

Thank you The National Lottery Community Fund
