South Gare Litter Pickers are organising a litter pick in Skelton on Wednesday 4th February between 9:30 - 11:30am.

They are looking for volunteers to help clear litter from around the shops near B&M. All equipment will be provided, and they recommend gloves and grippy boots to prevent slipping down the bank.

All who are interested can meet in the B&M car park at 9.30am. Refreshments will be provided.

Here at the South Tees Wellbeing Network, plans for 2026 are underway, events, enhancements to our 'Core Essentials' of the network, serving our members and health and wellbeing system, through our host, Public Health South Tees.

Our members are people like you, working or volunteering in the very broad health and wellbeing system to improve lives across South Tees.

If you are planning system events, training, campaigns, new service developments or have identified a problem that needs collaboration to solve, come to us and see if our 1100 members can help.

How good an idea is this? Footprints in the Community sharing their most needed products for foodbank users in a unique and fun way.

I'm making a list and keeping it near to where we write our own shopping list to buy a few extras.
Such a simple and great idea, and really got our attention. Well done Redcar Redcar Area Foodbank.

This year, Teesside is taking a bold and united step forward for World Su***de Prevention Day on September 10th. The message is simple but powerful:
‘Making su***de everyone’s business’

Across our communities, organisations are coming together to show that su***de prevention
isn’t just the job of professionals, it’s something we can all be part of. Whether it’s checking
in on a friend, sharing support services, or simply starting a conversation, every action
matters.

As part of this year’s campaign, Andrea McLoughlin, our Preventing Su***de (Tees)
Public Health Practitioner, is creating a short video to highlight the amazing partnerships
across Teesside.

Please take a look and share to your own staff, colleagues, family and friends to help nudge the reality of the support into our local mindsets. We need people who have lost hope to know that hope exists beyond their own heads...
