All the students from Transitions College had a fabulous time at Middlesbrough Sports Village today and tried the wide range of bikes available. One student was even able to learn to ride a 2-wheel bike, well done. I look forward to seeing everyone again next week.

Today marked the beginning of a new partnership with Middlesbrough Sports Village and Lets Go Cycling CIC with the aim of maximising the use of the cycling circuit and creating more opportunities for people to enjoy cycling outdoors. Lets Go Cycling CIC was formed following the successful inclusive cycling sessions delivered by the Stockton Wheelers Cycling Club on a Saturday afternoon.
The cycling sessions are provided for SEND schools, Adult support groups and individuals with a disability that prevents them from cycling without assistance or adaptation. Our friends from Clover Group Education and Social Hub were here to join in with the celebrations.

Ben and his grandson had a great time at the Middlesbrough Sports Village SEND HAF programme this week. Having the wheelchair bike available has provided the opportunity to enjoy a new experience, share some time together and enjoy some freedom outdoors.

The Saturday afternoon inclusive cycling sessions delivered by the Stockton Wheelers Cycling Club have been so popular Steve Newton decided to run a trial in 2025 with support from British Cycling Limitless to provide cycling sessions for Special need schools and adult support groups. They were also hugely popular with 200 one hour inclusive cycling sessions from March to October, Mon-Thurs.
Tees Valley Sport provided valuable support and promoted the cycling sessions with all the SEND schools in the Teesside area.
A few weeks ago, Tees Valley Sport recorded one of our sessions in action.
This is an overview and the first in a series of videos that share some amazing stories and show how much these opportunities mean.

Delighted to receive an invitation to support the Preparing for Adulthood (PFA) Event at Hartlepool today. A fantastic opportunity to speak with students and other organisations about the inclusive cycling sessions, had a great conversation with Something Positive Solutions who have a range of activities to offer. Thank you to 1 Hart, 1 Mind, 1 Future for the lovely cake.
