This is uncomfortable for me and one of those “should I / shouldn’t I?” posts,

but I’m putting my hands up and being brave

I am burnt out.

I have considerably reduced my working hours the last couple of months. I’ve not allowed it to affect the quality of my therapies with clients but even with reduced hours burnout has still kept on creeping in.

My life around my work (raising 4 kids and many animals!) also packing and preparing for a house move is pretty chaotic and I have found I wasn’t brave enough to “dare to rest” when I needed to.

For now, I’m taking the pressure off. I might be quieter here for a while… but I may share little pieces of my recovery along the way. In the hope that my story may help others living on the edge of burnout.

Thank you so much to the clients I have had to reschedule, for your generous support, love and understanding.

If you have an appointment with me and you haven’t heard from me that means it can still go ahead. (I’m just keeping it to a minimum) And for everyone else I’m sure I will be back stronger and wiser to help you again. 🤞❤️🥰🐝🌸

“Be excessively gentle with yourself”

A little blessing for anyone out there today who needed to hear this! 🙏🥰

I know a lot of my clients lately seem to be exhausted so this is for you as we go gentle with ourselves! Gradually coming back to yourself with a “new respect for your heart and a new joy of slow time!” SLOW TIME

I love seeing the difference of when a client enters the Hive (feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and heavy) to that when they leave - visibly lighter, relaxed, a smile on their face and the feeling of “coming home” to herself.

I am following my own advice and being gentle with myself this week, and resting (when I can) as I recover from a chest infection and just feeling “bleh”.

I first heard this poem being sang by Uma Dindsmore Tuli at the end of a gorgeous Yoga Nidra. I loved it then and thanks to my friend Jen for my birthday book of poetry I have been enjoying it again! ❤️

If you’re tired of “just coping” with symptoms or issues such as pain, fatigue, endometriosis, PCOS, menopause, anxiety, migraines (or other womens health conditions).

If you’re tired of the disappointment of trying to conceive and feel helpless.

If you’re tired of the medicalisation of pregnancy and are looking for some emotional and alternative support.

Or if you’re just tired of coping with life in general, the mental load and the everyday stresses….

The Hive is here for you! Through a range of therapies we can find a treatment plan or a one off session to give you exactly what you need to gently ease you back to your best self.

I myself have felt like I’m “just coping” lately and with antibiotics for a chest infection, a flare up of asthma, menopause and tiredness I am trying to put into practise what I preach. (But don’t always get it right!!)
I have been going to see the amazing Rachel which is helping and can’t wait for my massage with Silja (Thanks James for my birthday present) I have regular “treatment swaps” with other therapists too and can’t wait for reflexology (my ultimate favourite) with .

Without all this and my meditation / movement and rest practises I don’t know what state I would be in at the moment. It’s so hard finding the time I would like for myself with a family full of kids and animals (and I think my body is telling me it’s not enough at the moment) but little and often is the key at this stage.

Energetically there is so much going on in the world and the collective, anyone sensitive will be feeling it right now. So self care is a priority.

So I will make sure to get a little more time to step it up a bit and gently move towards my better self!

And to anyone else out there struggling- I hope to welcome you to the Hive too to assist in your healing whatever that may be. 🙏🌸🐝

Don’t get me wrong here! I can’t wait for my little (half spilt) breakfast in bed (if I’m lucky)!
Last year it was cranberry sauce on bread - mistaken jam and ban on kid using the toaster! 😳

But on this day I am so aware of other women’s experience. ❤️🙏

Thanks to Cecily for her blog last week on this topic that really put into words how I’ve felt for years and not being able to express it!

So whoever or whatever you are “mothering” or who are celebrating I hope you have a day filled with love, acceptance and gratitude!!! 🐝🐝🐝 xx

🌸🐝On International Women’s day I have been reflecting on my work.🐝🌸

These pages are my love letter to women

This folder of clients notes is just a snap shot of the thousands of women I have been so lucky to work with.
(And reminds me of a time before digital forms!)

For 10 years I have dedicated my work to women — through yoga, pregnancy yoga, mam & baby classes, and therapies.

This folder of names brings back so many memories - my first ever pregnancy classes when I was pregnant myself, the first time m**s making friends for life at Baby Bees yoga classes, all the women who have been with me for therapies from the start.

Today, on International Women’s Day, I give thanks to every single woman who has chosen me. Those women who shared her story, breathed through change, and allowed herself to be held.

Thank you for letting me share this journey with you.

This work has shaped me as much as it has supported you 🤍

Love Steph 🙏🐝❤️

Living in a neurodiverse household can feel like living in a house full of hand grenades.

You walk into a room not knowing if one is going to explode. You become hyper-alert because it can happen at any time. Sometimes we can predict it — during a “special day” that should be lovely but ends up overstimulating, after something exciting, before a meal, during a meal, or when they’re tired.

But the part that gets me is the sudden switch from happy… to full-on rage… then back to happy again. They’re fine, while I feel like I’m still slowly crawling out of the wreckage of the last explosion.

It’s not always this hard, and I wouldn’t change anything. Every child is different and neurodiversity spans a huge spectrum — but it can be exhausting.

I’m neurotypical, but through my clients and my own life I see how difficult diagnosis, self-realisation and understanding can be. It can raise big questions — Who am I now? What does this mean? How can I support myself? It can feel very isolating.

This is why I want to share the practices I’ve learned over the last 20 years — breathwork, meditation and deep relaxation to help calm a struggling nervous system. Not just to cope, but to live with more ease.

If this resonates — whether you’re a parent, partner, carer, or navigating neurodiversity yourself — this little space is for you.

Unexpectedly I have to put a hold on my events for now as we are preparing for our move and Barn Owl Yurt will be coming down as we get ready for her new location. Exciting but also a lot of organising.

I am still here for nervous system led care with a range of 1:1 therapies and support,

Message me if you have any questions how this can look for you and I’d love to welcome you soon,

Love Steph x

I can’t believe this is the 4th Monthly affirmation I have posted now…. Where did that time go?!

So this a a personal one for me.

Life doesn’t just go in a linear direction- it spirals and circles, whatever you judge as “success” or “progress” doesn’t always turn out like you imagined (in a linear way).

We take a step forward and it feels you take 2 back. This is a lesson I’ve been learning this winter.

In October we were selling our house and buying a new one- but it’s stopped and started, stopped again. I’m pleased to say now it’s all going again (and FEELS right this time) but I don’t want to say too much, I don’t want to jinx it! 🤣🤞

In that process it’s been super stressful and exhausting- so I have had to adapt. I have learnt to let go and stop pushing. To trust a bit more.

Last year I had so many ideas, goals and business plans I set out to do - I was excited and motivated but then with life spiralling back around it became too much.

I realised I wasn’t quite getting the “juggle” right, my main priorities were my family and giving my clients the best.

So I have slowed down this winter, just looking after 4 kids and a home has tested me and my 1:1 therapies actually feels like a break and nourishes me with the peace and quiet focus away from the chaos.

So all those little seeds of ideas I’ve planted - I know will happen in their own time (or they may not grow at all and that’s ok too!)

So if you’re feeling excited, motivated going along with the Fire horse year and smashing it then that’s amazing l! Go for it!

But - if you’re feeling a bit jaded even for a day this is your permission for Slowness - it’s ok to go slow - maybe the fire horse is a quiet inner determination and force rather than externally galloping ahead. And trust that all that you set out to do can unfold and grow when the time is right!

I hope this gives some of you permission for a little peace and rest if you need it!

You literally have the power in your hands to help all kinds of health, emotional, hormonal and physical issues.

I’m no way an expert in KHT, I went to my first training 5 years ago and my mind was blown. I have only scratched the surface with the yearly training I have attended since but I do know how effective this practise is!

I mainly use these techniques to support clients with
*fertility support
*a self treatment to support IVF
*hormonal imbalances
*womens health issues
*PCOS
*migraine / headaches
*neck pain
*auto-immune issues
*fatigue
*nausea

If you are an existing client and want to know more here’s your invitation to ask and I am also welcoming new clients from mid March!

This feels like a time of restructuring — chaotic, unsettling, and exhausting.
Whether you’re experiencing this in your personal life or sensing it in the wider world, there is a lot going on right now.

In times like these, taking responsibility for our own self-care becomes essential. Not in a rigid or perfectionist way, but by finding small, realistic practices that help us move through life feeling a little more grounded and calm.

I know how hard this can be — especially as a parent. When time and money feel tight, we so often put ourselves last. But bringing even small daily practices into your life can make a real difference — not just for you, but for your family, your community, and the energy you bring into the world.

This past month has felt A LOT for me — the stress of buying and selling a house, deep exhaustion, children with very big energy, neurodiversity, and just… life. So I’m taking this challenge alongside you. I’ve created this chart to print, place somewhere visible, and use as a gentle reminder to do something every day — no matter how small.

We’re all different, and what brings calm to one person may not work for another. That’s why I’ve made a printable version that you can tailor to you — your needs, your capacity, your season of life.

✨ If you’d like a FREE copy of the printable to create your own self-care menu, comment SELF CARE below and I’ll send it to you.

With gratitude, credit to Lee Harris for the inspiration, shared in his February energy update 🤍

Sometimes regulating your nervous system doesn’t need to be anything big or dramatic. Small practices — done often — can make such a difference.

While Maya was “painting” (which basically meant covering her hands in paint and creating glorious chaos 😅), I took less than a minute to do this. That’s it.

If you start to feel more confident with the practice, I’d recommend trying 5 minutes to really deepen into it. You can do this breath on the sofa, lying in bed, or just catching a quiet moment wherever you are.

The Bao Mai channel (often called the conception vessel) is such a powerful pathway — connecting heart and womb. I learned this technique 9 years ago while training in pregnancy yoga, and I’ve practised it ever since.

It’s beautiful support for fertility, pregnancy, menstruation and menopause — but it’s also so much more than that. It’s a gentle nervous system reset. It helps soften overthinking. It reconnects us to our heart and to our creativity.

I love it. I hope you do too 🤍

If you’d like to learn more practices like this, I share them in my retreats and circles.
