Teesside Hospice We’re changing lives across Teesside by supporting people and families with terminal illnesses. We’re bringing people together.

Everybody gets treated as an individual, whether it’s physical, mental or emotional support they need from us. We support people to stay as independent as possible, for as long as possible. From patients, family and friends to our clinical team, counsellors, staff, volunteers and our fundraisers. We make sure that everyone gets to live well until the very end.

Whether you're looking to gain new skills or build on those you already have, volunteering can be a great way to broaden your knowledge. Charlotte, a volunteer in our People team, shares how she has put skills from a recent course into practice:

"This opportunity has helped me to build my skills and confidence in a HR role, with the support of others to develop my understanding.

I chose Teesside Hospice because from my very first enquiry about the volunteering opportunity, I was met with a warm and welcoming response. Seeing the care and commitment the hospice provides to the community made me want to be part of that mission in a volunteering capacity.

The people I have worked with have supported me to grow and become more confident, not only as a Volunteer HR Assistant but also as a valued member of a supportive and collaborative team."

We’re incredibly grateful to the Sixth Form students at Yarm School who recently chose to support Teesside Hospice through their Yarm Apprentice competition!

As part of the challenge, two student teams took on the task of raising money for charity at the Yarm School Christmas Indoor Market. The winning team, The Economasters, ran their stall ‘Crafted Christmas’ alongside face painting, putting their business and creative skills into action for their take on Lord Sugar's famous BBC show!

Thanks to their hard work and enthusiasm, the team raised an amazing £403.44 for our hospice 💜

Well done to everyone involved and thank you for making such a difference! ✨

Our 2025 Rudolph Run was an incredible success!! 🦌

Thanks to the help of 68 schools and nurseries across Teesside, we are proud to announce that our Rudolph Run has already raised an incredible £55,000!

Over 12,000 pupils took part in supporting Teesside Hospice at Christmas time, and each and every one of them contributed to making a huge difference to the care that we provide to our patients and their families.

We can’t thank you all enough for your amazing efforts, without your support the Rudolph Run wouldn’t be such a huge success 💜
