🛡️ Stay Protected – Get Your MMR Vaccines! 🛡️

Measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) are highly contagious viruses that can cause serious health problems – including meningitis, blindness, hearing loss, and even infertility in boys.

✅ Two doses of the MMR vaccine offer long-term protection. Over 99% of people who receive both doses are protected against measles and rubella

📅 New update: From January 2026, children born on or after 1 July 2024 will receive their second dose at 18 months, instead of the previous schedule at 3 years 4 months.gov

💉 It’s never too late to catch up! Whether you're a child, teen, or adult – if you missed a dose or aren’t sure, just contact your GP practice. They can check your records or you can look in your Red Book or the NHS App.nhs

You can get a free flu vaccine on the NHS if you're eligible. Here's when and who it's for:

📅 From 1 September:

Pregnant people
Children aged 2–3 (on 31 Aug 2025)
Primary school children (Reception–Year 6)
Secondary school children (Year 7–Year 11)
Ages 6 months–18 years in clinical risk groups

📅 From 1 October:

Everyone aged 65+
Ages 18–64 in clinical risk groups
Long-stay care home residents & staff Carers
Close contacts of people at high clinical risk
Frontline health & social care workers

💉 How to book:

Online via the NHS flu booking service
Through your GP or local pharmacy
Call 119 if you need help or a translator
