Many of my current and past clients will know that I am a bit open fire crazy...! Any holiday cottage must include an open fire and there is nothing quite like a garden fire pit!!! 😍🔥
You’ll also know that my family think I’m a bit crazy, but I’m definitely not dull, I tell them they are very lucky to have me and to just wear shorts! 😂
Fireworks and my animal friends don’t really mix, so I’ll be staying home tonight keeping them company, but if you are heading out tonight or over the weekend, have fun and stay safe 💕🎇

And hello November…. The 11th month of 2025 and boy did you come round fast…! 😅
I’m having lots of conversations about just how fast this year is going by – I’m glad it’s not just me! 😬
There is still time to make some real positive changes by the end of the year and go into 2026 feeling more positive and hopeful about the future. A six session programme starting this month will be completed by the end of the year 🗓️

Happy Halloween! On this day of all things spooky and things that go boo… How do you feel about fear? 👻
In my experience it’s often an odd emotion, on one hand it can be exciting like riding a rollercoaster, or on the other it can leave us terrified, stuck and scared to make the next move anywhere 😱
A recent conversation with a client in her session, got us asking this question, “Is fear a good or bad thing?” The way I explained it to my client was like this… Too much of anything tends not to be good for us, and fear is similar. Too much fear and we can become paralysed by it unable to act or make any changes… 🤔
In that instance, something needs to change and that fear needs to be addressed and put back into balance. But a little fear helps to keep us on our toes… 👀
For example, when doing that presentation at work, a few nerves is no bad thing it probably even helps us perform better. Or the feeling of overcoming something that you were once fearful of, can feel great 💪
This Halloween I wish you just the right amount of fear… the perfect balance. Trick or treat anyone?! 🎃
Catch you very soon. On another note, personally, aside from any ghosts or ghouls, I’m hoping tonight isn’t rainy and supervising my own “Trick or Treater” will be dry this year! 😜

Today is World Mental Health Day 2025! ✨
The theme this year is focusing on mental health support during catastrophes and emergencies, and support for those people that provide support ⛑️
It highlights for me that the carers in our society need to be cared for too. Whether that be our emergency workers, our teachers or family members on the school run. Anyone that “cares” falls into that bracket for me 😊
So often it starts with how we can best help ourselves by making some time for ourselves, by creating some breathing space to refocus and regroup, and also not being frightened to ask for help as and when we might need it 🫶

In 2020, during “lockdown” (I still hate that word), Ellie, then aged 4, painted this rainbow, just like millions of other children around the UK and this painting was in my front room window 🌈
So why is it above my desk now? 🤔
Well, now over five years on, it reminds me daily of what I told myself back then was truly important 💕
What I wanted to do more of in life. What I wanted to do less of in life. And what I wanted to change if I ever made it out of the house again! And it really does work as a powerful reminder 😊
Your brain likes simple and powerful reminders and sign posts. It responds far better to simple things, than big complex ideas or strategies to feel better 🧠✨

My name is Karen Ingledew BSc (Hons) GQHP Ad. Dip. Hyp. and I am a Cheshire based Therapist. I am passionate about what I do, the relationships I build with my clients and the results that we achieve together.
I combine the best of Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to achieve amazing results for my clients. Often with results they never dreamed possible.
I am honest, straight-forward and empathetic. What I do is not just about the treatment, it is fundamentally about the relationships I build with my clients and the journey that we go on together to get you to where they want to be.

My Background
I completed my BSc in Psychology from Manchester University in 2003. For 15 years my business career involved supporting people going through significant and challenging work, and personal change. I am proud of my success in this field, yet something was always missing...
My ultimate goal has always been to utilise my skills to help people achieve things they never thought possible.
I have always been interested in Mental Health and the power of what we can achieve both ourselves alone and with some help. This is one of the reasons I was drawn to Hypnotherapy and NLP.
By 2016 I was able to fulfil my goal of helping people in a completely unique way. By combining my Psychology qualifications, Advanced Hypnotherapy qualifications, personal skills and business experience, I am able offer my clients something very different to what was out there already.
I love working with every client that comes through my door.
I love that I'm different to anyone that they have seen before. Above all, I love that I can see them make a personal and lasting change for themselves, often after little success elsewhere.
