It’s important to know that funeral plans are now regulated by law. Since July 2022, all funeral plan providers in the UK must be authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). This was introduced to give families greater protection, transparency, and peace of mind.

Under this law:
• Only FCA-authorised funeral plan providers can offer funeral plans
• Funeral directors can only offer plans if they are authorised themselves or acting as an Appointed Representative of an authorised provider
• This regulation ensures your money is protected and plans are sold fairly and responsibly

A small space for our community to say goodbye.

The Lintott Service Chapel, located in our premise in the heart of Midhurst, offers families a peaceful setting in which to pay their respects. Whether the service is led by a celebrant, a minister, or by family and friends themselves, this chapel provides a relaxed and supportive environment for a personal farewell.

The chapel is available for up to 45 minutes and is ideally suited to small gatherings, with seating for up to 10 people. While modest in size, it is a meaningful option for families seeking a simple, dignified, and private goodbye.

We are pleased to extend our warmest birthday wishes to our Managing Director, Toby.

This past year has been meaningful for him in many ways, marked by the joy of welcoming his son, Charles, and by his steady guidance throughout our smooth transition to the new premises on Rumbolds Hill. Both moments reflect the thoughtful leadership and quiet dedication he brings to the organisation.

It was a pleasure to welcome Chris from South East Detail back to Merritt’s this week to carry out a full polish and ceramic coating on our limousine.

While our vehicles are always meticulously cleaned inside and out after every service, it’s important to us that our fleet remains in pristine condition at all times. Regular professional detailing ensures our cars continue to reflect the high standards of care and respect that Merritt’s is known for.
