🐾FASCIA & COAT CHANGES IN DOGS 🐾

Did you know your dog’s coat can tell you a lot about what’s happening under the surface?

✨ FASCIA ✨ the connective tissue that wraps around every muscle and organ — plays a big role in skin and coat health.

When fascia becomes tight or restricted, you might notice:
🟤 A dull or dry coat
🔄 Patchy or uneven texture
🐶 Coat direction changes “swirls” or “waves”
🐾 Sensitivity when brushing certain spots
⏳ Slow coat regrowth
🦴 Reduced stride length

🐾 Important information About Kennel Cough Vaccinations 🐾

To keep all of our furry patients safe and healthy, we want to remind everyone of an important guideline:

If your dog has recently received a Kennel Cough (Bordetella) vaccine—whether intranasal, oral, or injectable—please do not visit our clinic for 14 days following vaccination.

Why?
Kennel cough vaccines can cause mild, temporary shedding of the vaccine strain, and keeping a 14-day buffer helps protect vulnerable pets who may be ill, very young, or immunocompromised.

What are the symptoms of kennel cough?
Keep an eye out for:
• A dry, hacking “goose-honk” cough
• Gagging or retching, often after excitement or exercise
• Sneezing
• Nasal discharge
• Mild lethargy
• Occasionally a low-grade fever

If your dog shows any of these symptoms, please call us for advice before coming in.

This waiting period is a simple but important step to help protect our entire pet community. 💛

Life gets busy — we completely understand!
If you’re unable to attend your appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. Full payment is required if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice!

We are a small business, we have a waiting list for clients to get their dogs in to see us. Within the last 2 weeks, we have had EIGHT APPOINTMENTS MISSED! Yesterday alone we had THREE late cancellations. We have been lenient in the past but PLEASE try to help keep us running…..

Missed sessions affect your dog’s progress and prevent another pet from getting the treatment they need.

🐾 Lovely Toby joins us for hydrotherapy after suffering a cruciate injury which required surgery. Toby is an older chap but if you’ve ever owned a spaniel, you’ll know they are like Peter Pan!🐾

🐶 Toby has also just recovered from an ear infection which was treated by his vet, so to prevent getting any water in his ears we use an ear wrap. Think we might have ruined his street cred! 😂
