Our name: Akamuti is a Zambian word with two meanings. It translates as 'Little Tree' or 'A Little Bit Of Medicine'. In many parts of Africa, trees and medicine are revered as powerful sources of healing. We hope that each product we create carries a little of nature's healing energy from us to you. Our ethics:

Sadly, our beautiful retail shop in Milford Haven is closing and our last day will be Thursday 9th October.

If you have ever shopped with us in store, we appreciate your support more than you will ever know. Over the last four summers, we've met hundreds of fantastic people, had so much lovely feedback - it's been a brilliant adventure. I have absolutely loved being a shopkeeper! It was a little girls dream come true 🙏🧡

To all of our wonderful supporters, near and far - a heartfelt thank you.

📣 You'll still find us busy in our workshop on the other side of the marina (Milford Dock) - our website isn't going anywhere! 📣 Please do check the website out for lots of lovely handcrafted products and gifts in the run up to Christmas 🎄☃️🎁🎅 We'll be organising a click and collect service soon🛎

In the future, we'd like to re-open in a brand new location but for now our chapter on the marina is coming to an end.

We are a family team with a combined enthusiasm for green living and a holistic lifestyle and we hope this passion shines through in all of our products. Akamuti is a Zambian word with two meanings. It translates as 'Little Tree' or 'A Little Bit Of Medicine'. In many parts of Africa, trees and medicine are revered as powerful sources of healing. Tree ingredients are very important in our products and we feel that trees are not only essential for our health but also for the health of the whole planet. Absolutely no chemicals are added at any stage and none of our products/individual ingredients are tested on animals.
