Established in 1908 by Samuel Sheldon, we have served the local area for over a century as an independent, family-run company of funeral directors. A great many aspects of funerals have changed over our many years in business however the traditions of integrity and compassion, as laid down by our forebears, remain exactly the same. We operate a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year personal service which starts as soon as contact is made by yourself, whether by telephone or by calling in to our office. At a time to suit you, your funeral director will discuss all the options available in order to ensure that you are completely satisfied with the proposed funeral arrangements. We will take care of all the necessary paperwork, laising with doctors, ministers, caterers and florists so that you are relieved of the burden of making these arrangements yourself at what is a difficult time. Gerald’s funeral service will take place on Friday 17th October at 2.00 pm at St Luke’s Church, Haverigg.

Please wear cheerful colours, funeral attire is not necessary - shorts with sandals and socks are optional.
No flowers please, donations made in Gerald’s memory will be shared between Animal Rescue Cumbria and The Salvation Army.

All are welcome to join Val and family after the service at the Rising Sun (the middle) to remember Gerald and share memories. Val would also like him to be remembered in the Harbour too so she will be raising a glass for him there as well.
