I had such a great time tonight at The Power of Unity - a joint business networking event with MKFM and Collaborate MK.

I was joined by Vycan Fix, a brilliant local handyman business that often volunteers their time and skills to support Mental Health Cleaning 💜

It was amazing meeting so many passionate people, hearing about their businesses, and sharing what we’re doing through Mental Health Cleaning, my small (very small) but mighty Voluntary Organisation. The encouragement and positivity were incredible.

What inspired me most was how many local businesses genuinely want to help - whether by giving a little of their time, sharing our posts, or offering sponsorship so we can reach more people in need. That kindness really shows the power of community.

Today, we used your contribution to buy beautiful Christmas tree decorations for our Christmas Appeal, where we’re helping a mum and baby who have left a difficult past behind and are starting completely over. 🎄💜

Your kindness and support mean so much - we truly couldn’t do what we do without people like you 💜

This morning I was welcomed by Connection Support to introduce Mental Health Cleaning to their team. I was told it would be a small group… but there were 12 friendly faces looking back at me as I stood up to present! 😅

It’s the biggest team I’ve spoken to in person, and although it was nerve-wracking, everyone was so lovely, supportive and genuinely interested.

They asked some fantastic questions and really seemed to understand our mission, why we’re here, and how our work can be life-changing for the people we support💜

We’ve already worked with Connection Support before - they referred someone to us last year for a free clean - and it was wonderful to see Jo, who’s been such an incredible supporter and cheerleader for us. Seeing a friendly face made it all a little less scary! 💜

A huge thank you to the whole Connection Support team for having me today. You’re a wonderful charity doing amazing work in the community, and I really hope we can work together again soon.
