Because intimacy isn’t just something physical.
It’s something you feel. ❤️

One of the biggest misconceptions I see is that intimacy is only about sex… but that’s only one small part of the picture.

Real intimacy is built in the everyday moments.

It’s in the way we laugh together, even over the smallest things.
The way we check in on each other after a long day.
The quiet moments that don’t need words.

It’s feeling safe, seen and understood.
Knowing you can be your true self and still be loved fully.

Because without emotional connection, physical closeness can start to feel empty and lonely.

It’s not just about the big moments…
It’s in the everyday connection we build, little by little.

This is what intimacy really feels like. 💫

Breath Awareness Exploration

Go ahead and get comfortable, sit or lie down, whatever feels right for you.

Start by simply noticing your breath. Don’t try to change it, just observe it. Tune into it. Then, when you’re ready, begin to slow it down and deepen it slightly.

As you do that, get curious about what you notice. Where do you actually feel your breath in your body? Is it sitting high in your chest, or is it deeper in your belly? Is it a long breath or a short breath, is it shallow or is it deep?

And here’s an interesting one, does your breath start to change just because you’re paying attention to it?

When you’re ready to explore further, ask yourself:

What did you notice when you first started paying attention to your breath?

Did anything feel different once you began to slow it down?

Intimacy is not just about s&x.

There is so much more to intimacy than the physical act. True intimacy is built in the everyday moments we share with each other.

It’s sharing your feelings… your fears, your highs and your lows. It’s feeling safe enough to be open and vulnerable.

It’s being seen.
Being heard when you speak.
Being supported by the person beside you.

Intimacy lives in the deep conversations where time seems to disappear… when you’re sharing ideas, thoughts, and really connecting with each other.

It’s also in the memories you create together.
A walk in the park.
A trip to the cinema.
A holiday somewhere new.
All the small moments that slowly bring two people closer.

And yes… intimacy is also in the touch.
The hugs.
The kisses.
The gentle stroking.
Sitting close together.

All of these moments build connection.

Because intimacy isn’t just something physical.
It’s something you feel in your body. ❤️

S£xual trauma isn’t just the event that happened, it’s what the body learned to do to survive. 🫂

It can live quietly in your muscles, organs, tissues, even your breath and nervous system. 🫀🌿

It can show up as pain during intimacy, tightness you can’t release, or a body that freezes even when you crave your partner’s embrace. You love them, but your body responds in a way that disconnects you, from yourself, your partner, and life. 💛

This isn’t failure.
It’s your body’s intelligence keeping you safe. ✨

To me, yoga is not about how far I can stretch or getting the posture perfect. 

Kundalini yoga has given me something so much more than the physical practice. It has gently guided me back to myself, to the self beneath the layers the outside world sees, the quiet place within me that remembers how to be still and present.

Through this practice, I have learned to stay, even when it feels uncomfortable. To allow thoughts to pass. To soften my body, to slow my breath until the mind naturally follows.

Kundalini yoga is part of my daily life and has been for over ten years, a practice that is so valuable to my life and the way I live.  

If you feel called to join my women’s class, I have a 4 spaces available. My six-week course begins on 15th January. If something stirs as you read this, trust it, perhaps it is a quiet invitation from the universe for you to join us.
