🍰 Malnutrition Awareness Week | 17–23 November ☕

A simple cup of tea, a slice of cake, and a friendly conversation can make a world of difference. 💛

For many of the people we support, staying well-nourished isn’t just about meals it’s about connection, routine, and having someone who notices the small changes.

Our home carers are always there to make sure no one is eating alone, struggling in silence, or missing those vital little moments that keep them healthy.

🫖 A chat
🍰 A snack
🤝 And someone who cares

Together, we can help prevent malnutrition and bring comfort, warmth and companionship into every home.

🌟 UK Malnutrition Awareness Week – 17th–23rd November 🌟

As the colder months settle in, many older adults are at greater risk of malnutrition. Not just from lack of food, but from loneliness, reduced appetite, mobility challenges, or difficulty preparing meals.

At My Homecare Milton Keynes , we know that a nutritious, well-prepared meal can make all the difference. Our carers don’t just cook they support dignity, independence and wellbeing.

🍲 We help with:
• Preparing fresh, nourishing meals
• Encouraging healthy eating habits
• Supporting hydration throughout the day
• Spotting early signs of malnutrition
• Making mealtimes comforting, social and enjoyable

This week, let’s raise awareness and remind families that no one should face malnutrition alone. A little support at home can keep loved ones healthier, happier, and safer this winter.

💛 If you’re worried about a loved one’s appetite, weight loss, or nutrition, we’re here to help.

❄️ Winter can feel a little heavier for our loved ones…

The darker evenings, the colder days, and the quiet moments can bring extra worry.
But with compassionate home carers by their side, no one has to be alone.

From warm meals to gentle check-ins and a friendly smile at the door, we’re here to bring comfort, safety, and peace of mind throughout the winter months. 💙

Because everyone deserves to feel cared for especially when the world outside feels a little colder. ❄️✨

A poem about Oliver McGowan

He came to us, a spark of grace, A light that time could not erase. With laughter bright and spirit true, He changed the world in all he’d do.

Each day he taught us how to care, To see the soul, to simply share. Through challenge, courage, joy, and pain, His heart lit hope that will remain.

Though heaven called him far too soon, He left the sun, the stars, the moon. In every law, in every stand, His love still guides the hearts of man.

For Ollie’s name is more than song, It’s change, it’s right, it’s where we belong. A legacy that lights the way
His spirit lives in us today

❄️ As the nights draw in and the days turn colder, it’s comforting to know our loved ones are not alone.

Home carers do so much more than lend a helping hand — they bring warmth, company, and reassurance when it’s needed most. A friendly face at the door, a warm meal, a gentle chat… those small moments mean everything during the darker months. 💙

This winter, let’s cherish the kindness that keeps our homes and hearts a little warmer. 🌙✨
