Arthur Ellis: Mental Health Support

Arthur Ellis: Mental Health Support We are building a mental health service for anyone over the age of 8 years old to access across Milton Keynes.

We think mental health services should be easy, meaningful and not come with long waits or high thresholds.

ICYMI, we're taking part in Franklins Solicitors LLP £50 Challenge this year - and we'd love you to be part of it! 💚

If you haven’t heard of the challenge before, it’s simple and fun:
Franklins give your business or team £50..... You use that £50 to raise as much as you can to support our mental health charity.

You can get as creative as you like! Last year we saw:

🪩 Disco bingo
🥟 Samosa making masterclasses
🍱 Office bakes & team lunches
🎟️ Raffles & quiz nights
🫵 But really, it's up to you - reach out if you'd like to be involved, we'd love to hear from you.

And just in case you’re new here, hello! We support people across the UK to access fast, compassionate mental health support, often in as little as four days.

For many people, our support is life changing. If your business, school, workplace, sports team or community group would like to get involved, we’d truly love to hear from you.

Drop us a message or comment below, and let’s make something amazing happen 💚🧠

It's that point in the day where you're likely to have heard several times that today is the “most depressing day of the year” 😨

In truth, Blue Monday is a social construct 🔷

It was originally created as part of a marketing campaign by a travel company to sell holidays. It's not actually based on any scientific evidence at all. Ridiculous, we know.

Having said that, just because the day itself is made up, it doesn’t mean the feelings people experience are.

January can be a tough month! Dark mornings, cold weather, financial pressure, returning to routine and that post-Christmas comedown...These things can all massively impact how people feel.

So instead of focusing on a made up label, let’s focus on the really important things today. Checking in on those around us, and reaching out if we’re struggling. Just a simple text or call will make a huge difference. 💙

If you need support, please reach out to someone you are comfortable talking to. And if you’re feeling good today, your message to someone else could make more difference than you realise!

We're here if you need us 💚🧠

Meet the Team 💚🧠

Here's Elle, our newest recruit who has recently joined us as Operations & Safeguarding Co-ordinator!

Elle joined us at the start of the year with a degree in Psychology and experience in supporting those in an education setting. She's already making a huge impact on the team and we can't wait to see how this continues!

We're so chuffed to have her on our team. Welcome Elle 💚

As Christmas approaches, we know this time of year can bring a mix of emotions. While many people are looking forward to the festive period, others may be feeling lonely, overwhelmed or struggling more than usual.

If this week feels hard, please know that support is available. You don’t have to manage it alone. We've dropped some resources into the comments, please use these if needed.

If you’re able to, please check in on someone else - a colleague, friend or loved one - it could make a real difference to them too.

From all of us at Arthur Ellis, we’re holding space for everyone this Christmas. Be gentle with yourself, and reach out if you need support. 💚

As many of us begin to sign off for Christmas, it’s worth pausing to check in on the people around us 💚

For some, this time of year brings rest and connection. For others, it can actually increase feelings of loneliness - especially once our work routines pause and offices fall silent.

If you can, take a moment to reach out to someone. Send a message or make a quick call and ask "how are you really?"

These small moments of connection can make a big difference. Not everyone will tell you they’re struggling, but knowing someone has thought of them can mean more than we realise.

As we head into the festive break, let’s look out for our colleagues, friends and loved ones, and remind each other that we’re not alone.

As the winter months draw in, many people brace themselves for more than just the cold weather. For some, the month of December brings a peak an unexpected rise in loneliness, something which has recently been referred to as a "crisis hidden in plain sight" 💔

For that reason, December is the perfect opportunity to prioritise connection with those around us, no matter how big or small. You can read more about how you could do this using our Bananas and Doughnuts framework here 🍌🍩 via

We're approaching the time of the year where loneliness is at its peak. It’s not just about being physically alone - it’s the feeling of lacking meaningful connection, of not being seen or understood. As we head into December, prioritising connection is one of the most powerful things any of us can do, for ourselves and for the people around us.

A 20-minute walk, a catch up with a colleague, trying a new recipe, volunteering for an hour: None of these will transform a whole season, but together, they help counteract the heaviness winter can bring.

If you’d like to know more about how to support yourself and those around you by using our Banana habits, you can read more on our website. Link is in the comments 💚

About Us

We build teams to deliver practical tools and strategies to help everyone recover, manage and maintain their mental health.

By working with organisations and adults on a 1:1 basis, we are able to provide a free and sustainable emotional support service for children who are unable to access support.

75% of children are currently unable to access mental health services nationally. Our mentors are qualified and experienced professionals that offer meaningful and diverse support for a range of mental health issues.

The 1:1's we provide to adults provides children with free sessions and gives the opportunity for anyone to express how they feel, improve their mental health and become #IndependentFromIllness.
