Inspired by having a cold to make Yoga for When You’re Not Well 🤧😋

A gentle yoga practice for when you’re not feeling well. Slow, gentle movement to release tension and hopefully make you feel a little bit better. 🙏🏼

This is a beginner-friendly practice, all you’ll need is a pillow (or a yoga bolster) if you have one and comfortable clothes.

Yin yoga on my heated blanket, next to a stack of books and with my pumpkin spice candle lit 😮‍💨 doesn’t get much better than this!!💖 too relaxed to even open my eyes now😴

I shared this quote about autumn in an email I sent to a couple of weeks ago: “It’s now that we begin to feel ourselves retreat into the darker days of the year... we need to release our attachment to the long summer days and the freedom they bring. It’s hard to accept endings, but look around you now: the natural world is effortlessly letting go in the knowledge that life will rise again in the spring. Likewise, we must release our grip of society’s go-go-go culture. Let go and rest.”*

But did I take my own advice? Of course not!!🙂 I’ve felt like I’ve been going a million miles an hour recently, and it’s started to take its toll, I’ve not been sleeping well, feeling really tired and run down etc, all those classic doing too much feelings. So I’m recommitting to slowing down, resting more and generally taking it a bit easier as we move towards autumn and winter.🐌🫶🏼 If you see me being busy and getting stressed, redirect me to this post please.🫶🏼

🌀NEW WEEKLY CLASS starting on Tuesday 11th November 2025 in Stony Stratford - find your flow! 🧚🏼‍♀️

Each week we’ll break down a specific pose or transition before building it into a slow, flowing sequence. This is an accessible yet strengthening practice, with plenty of options so you can move at a pace and intensity that feels right for you.

You’ll be encouraged to move mindfully and with curiosity, listening to your body to find the version of each pose that works best for you. Questions are more than welcome! And we’ll of course finish with a lovely relaxing Savasana.

Perfect for: anyone wanting to develop strength and confidence in their yoga practice whilst exploring flow in an accessible, supportive way.

Suitable for all levels of experience 💘

🧚🏼‍♀️Friday 14th November, 6-7.15pm, Bow Brickhill Community Hall

Gentle, slow and stretchy yoga followed by an extended Savasana or Yoga Nidra to help you truly relax and unwind. If you’re feeling exhausted, burnt out, overwhelmed, disconnected or just a bit meh, this class is for you. There will be no pressure to keep up or achieve anything, just gentle, restorative movement, all of the props, blankets and pillows, and as many mini candles as I can get my hands on. 🕯️

The hall will open from 5.30pm if you’d like to come early for tea and a chat, or just to decompress before we start our practice.

Wear something comfy (pyjamas are more than welcome), bring your mat, and as many blankets and pillows as you want to. I’ll provide all of the yoga props needed, herbal teas and cosy vibes. 🌠

🧚🏼‍♀️Second video alert!!! A gentle morning yoga and pranayama (breathwork) practice to help you begin the day feeling calm and grounded. 🧘🏼‍♀️

If mornings aren’t your thing and you wake up feeling stiff, achy, or even a little bit moody (like me), and the idea of jumping straight into a downward dog feels too much, then this is the practice for you!

Mostly standing so you don’t even need to get your mat out if you don’t want to (the seated parts towards the end can be done in a chair), and absolutely pyjama-friendly. 🥰

Posting this before I get too scared - my first youtube video!!🤟🏼🧚🏼‍♀️ A couple of people have said they’d like to be able to do yoga with me from the comfort of their own homes, so here’s hopefully the first of many videos.

Ngl I tried filming a video months ago but I could barely even watch it back, it felt so unnatural seeing and hearing myself on camera. But I’m pushing myself out of my comfort zone!! 😝 One of my goals this year is to feel more confident and comfortable in myself, and the only way to do that is to just do the hard/scary things. If you want to get better at something you have to actually start doing it, accepting that it might feel a little bit weird and uncomfortable at first, and that is okay. 🙏🏼🙂‍↕️

So here’s a 25 min cosy yin-style practice to help you slow down and rest as we ease into autumn.🍂💫 If you’ve seen my most recent email, you’ll know that I’ve accidentally started getting in the autumn mood already oops (my pumpkin candle has been busy🎃), but if you’re not feeling the autumn vibe just yet, this is still a lovely practice to do when you need to relax and rest, maybe after a busy day or just before bed.
