💜 Infected Insect
💜 Uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infection

If you're symptoms are more severe, you have other underlying health conditions, are your symptoms haven't improved following treatment from the pharmacy, please contact your GP!

National Stress Awareness Day: We're here to support you! 💜

Caregiving is an incredibly emotionally driven career, and we understand the toll it can have on your professional and personal life. We want to ensure our staff are looked after and not suffering in silence.

Stress can take a toll on both your mental and physical health, causing burnout, affecting your sleep, weakening your immune system and more. It is incredibly important to prioritise your health.

Male Carers Breaking Stereotypes: Challenging Misconceptions in Caring Roles 🧡

When we talk about carers, the image that often comes to mind is female. With this harsh stereotype, male carers often get overlooked. Together we can help change the narrative, not only to show support for all the male carers (both paid and unpaid) but by encouraging others to join the care industry.

Caregiving is not about gender, but providing support, compassion and empathy. Whether you are caring for a service user or loved one, your gender does not define the quality of care that you can provide.

Last week we dressed in pink for an organised fundraiser to support the amazing charity, Breast Cancer Now!

Being a part of the care sector, we understand the importance of raising awareness and supporting such charities. We are so grateful to have such a kind and compassionate team that help us support such causes, as well as proving such outstanding care for our service users.

REMINDER TO CHECK MEDICATION 💊

In the care sector we understand the importance of checking medication to ensure no mistakes are made. It's incredibly important to take your time with medication calls, whether your tending to a new service user or someone you've assisted before.

You should always check the following:
⭐ Is it the correct medicine?
⭐ Is it the correct dosage?
⭐ Is it in date?
⭐ Is it safe to take with other medication?
⭐ Has it been stored in an appropriate place?
⭐ Does the service user have enough stocked up?

Menopause Awareness Month: Supporting our staff and reducing the stigma 💜

The care sector is predominantly made up of women, which is why Menopause Awareness Month is an incredibly significant time for us. We recognise how deeply perimenopause can affect those experiencing it and would like to show our heartfelt appreciation for our dedicated care staff who continue to support others while managing these challenges themselves.

Whether you're experiencing hot flushes to fatigue, the symptoms can be challenging but with the right support, no one should have to suffer in silence.

It’s time to break the stigma, start the conversation, and ensure our carers feel cared for too.
