Over Christmas, one of our clients received this rather fabulous cuddle ball as a gift from family.

It's very soft and cuddly for a tactile experience, weighted for deep pressure, and allows hands to slip inside to receive deep pressure, comfort and warmth. It has been a big hit!

Sometimes it's important to pause.

Caring for someone who shows what is classed as "challenging behaviour" can be incredibly hard - especially when you're tired, overwhelmed, or trying your very best. It's tough.

However, we need to remember that behaviour is communication.

What we see on the outside is often a response to something much deeper:
🔵Sensory overload, or physical pain
🔵Neurodivergence
🔵Learning disabilities
🔵Mental Health struggles
🔵Dementia
🔵Unmet needs that can't be expressed in words

When we understand the why - the triggers, environment, and needs, we move from reacting to supporting.

They are not giving you a hard time.
They are having a hard time.

By shifting from reacting to understanding, we create space for compassion, connection, and the support they truly need 🩷
