When my kids are feeling under the weather, dinner veggies aren’t always an option 🥦❌

That’s why I turn to smoothies

A few simple ingredients = easy to digest nutrients to support their immune system. As long as there’s banana, they’ll love it

I usually add:

Milk

Half a banana

A handful of spinach

1 tbsp Greek yoghurt

A pinch of cinnamon

Packed with vitamin A, vitamin C & protein to help them recover faster. 💪

Pro tip: swap spinach for strawberries, or serve strawberries on the side for extra vitamin C 🍓

Everyone swears by honey and lemon for a sore throat 🍯🍋

But here’s the part no one tells you 👇

Yes, honey can help, but only certain types actually do the job.

Manuka or raw honey = antibacterial win.

Regular processed honey? Not so much.

And if you pour boiling over your lemon juice, the vitamin C will be destroyed. Let it cool a bit first to actually get the benefits.

So yes, honey + lemon has beneficial compounds and helps soothe your throat…

But it’s not a miracle cure.

Your body still needs nutrients to fight off whatever’s causing that sore throat.

Think soups, smoothies, and proper nourishment to support your immune system.

☀️ Autumn sunshine might look bright… but it’s not giving you any vitamin D.

If you live in the UK, from October to March, the sun’s UVB rays are too weak for your skin to make vitamin D, even on sunny days.

So if you’re feeling tired, run-down or have low mood, this could be why.

Here’s what you can do:

If you think your levels may be low, take a standalone vitamin D supplement.

Or use a multivitamin that includes vitamin D (look for 25 micrograms daily) if your levels are already healthy.

Not sure? A simple blood test can tell you where you’re at.
