We’ve had the most wonderful celebration here at the home today — the atmosphere was full of laughter, singing, and smiles. 🎶💃
Audrey’s family made the day extra special by entertaining everyone with beautiful singing and dancing, filling the room with joy.

Say hello to our lovely Nicole, who has happily received an invite for Audrey's birthday party this afternoon.
Nicole is a young pup, having just turned 21years old, but she has been with us for what feels like forever. She had just completed a degree in criminology (massive congratulations!) and is now looking for her next venture as she is always open to learning. This may see Nicole eventually leaving our team should she decide to go into a different field or even see her continue with us should she decide to go into nursing. Whatever she chooses, Newford will encourage her to be the best version of herself 🥰 The world is your oyster Nicole Chantay

Did you know that our Care Manger, Joanne, and Deputy Care Manager, Angela, recently got shortlisted for an Excellence in Care award via QCS and were recognised at the Connected Health and Care Summit 2025 - Europe's largest community of health and social care professionals. They were nominated for their longstanding service to a single care setting and we are extremely proud of their achievements throughout these years. Well done and a round of applause to Joanne Webb and Angela Clancy.

"...My brother is a resident in Newford Nursing Home, he's not been there long, I have noticed how much effort the staff put in to making all the residence feel comfortable & at home, but the staff also give so much more to the family visitors, their friendly, understanding approach make's you feel at ease in knowing our loved ones are getting the best possible care.
We couldn't ask for more, thank you to all the staff & management for all you do..."

Our care staff often spend their supernumerary shifts supporting the activities team — and our residents absolutely love it! It’s a great way for everyone to spend time together, share smiles, and make activities extra special. This week, for example, Olivia joined in with games and Lauren helped out with bingo. We have created Audrey this invite so that she can hand them out to her friends here at Newford and her family far and wide - what do you think?
