Reiki is sacred. It is not just a qualification, it is a lineage, a transmission, a spiritual responsibility. ✨
I have been a Reiki Master Teacher for many years, and I’ve trained many devoted women and men who feel deeply called to this path.
🕊️ Mikao Usui did not offer Master level lightly. It wasn’t available to everyone, and it was never intended for personal gain. Mastery was about embodiment, living the principles and becoming what he described as the Great Bright Light.
Over the years, many people have come to me for their next stage of training after beginning elsewhere. And I’m often asked:
• Is it okay to change teachers?
• What happens to my lineage?
• Will it affect accreditation?
Here is my honest perspective:
Reiki lineage is not something to collect. It isn’t meant to be layered casually or pieced together. When training is fragmented across multiple Masters without deep integration, the lineage can become energetically diluted. I see those who will honour its foundations and unfortunately those who will not.
That doesn’t mean it’s “wrong” — but it does require discernment and strong foundations.
Reiki in the UK is currently unregulated. However, organisations such as the UK Reiki Federation are working towards stronger professional standards and recognition. This makes correct, thorough training even more important. Being registered with the CNHC offers you the confidence that the person offering the Reiki, is properly trained with a correct lineage.
Unfortunately, there are Reiki Master Teachers who do not fully understand the fundamental foundations of Reiki practice and teaching. Weekend certifications. Rushed Master levels. Little integration.
Reiki is not about titles.
It is not about status.
It is not about ego.
The two things I always say:
✨ Remove the ego.
✨ Always trust.
Trust the energy.
Trust the process.
Trust the lineage you step into.
Choose your teacher carefully. Depth matters. Integrity matters. Energy remembers.
