To improve your experience, we’re installing a 24-hour medication collection machine. It’ll be installed in the surgery car park and is safe, secure and free to use.

✅ Order your prescription in the usual way
✅Collect your prescription any time, day or night – 365 days of the year!

Follow these steps to start using it:
1️⃣ Register for the service (form will be shared soon - this will be available from our website and also put in upcoming prescription bags) and order your prescription in the usual way. We would encourage people to start registering now to allow our admin staff to process them prior to machine installation.
2️⃣ Receive a unique collection code via text when your medicine is ready
3️⃣ Collect your prescription any time, day or night

This project Leadhills Dispensing Machine is supported by the Clyde Wind Farm and SSE Renewables, as managed by South Lanarkshire Council.

We are looking for a medical receptionist at Moffat Medical Practice. Please see below.

Pay: £13.14 per hour

Job description:

Moffat Medical Practice is looking for a committed, enthusiastic and reliable person to join our progressive and friendly team as a medical receptionist/administrator. Hours of work will be 22 hours per week spread over 3/4 days between Monday and Friday. Extra hours to cover staff leave and peak times will be available.

The successful candidate should be eager to learn and keen to contribute to the full team performance, have good communication skills, an excellent telephone manner and be computer literate. This is an exciting, varied and fast paced role and you must be able to multitask in a busy environment. Duties will include helping patients at the reception desk and on the telephone, signposting patients to the correct clinician, booking appointments, preparing prescriptions, communicating test results, scanning and filing hospital correspondence, data entry and other general office tasks.

Experience of working within a GP Medical Practice and knowledge of EMIS and Docman systems is desirable, however full training will be given. A flexible approach to working hours is vital to ensure adequate cover is provided to meet the needs of the Practice.

Internet has now been restored. Thanks for your patience.

Our internet service has been down since yesterday, therefore we are not receiving electronic communication. Repeat prescriptions cannot be issued unfortunately until service is restored.
If you are able to wait 24 hours to request your medication this would be appreciated. We are hopeful that the telecommunications engineers can restore our services today. Updates will follow. Please pass this information on to relatives without social media access.
