P&A Group

P&A Group The P&A Group of Companies The company started as P&A Pallets and Packaging , in Mold and diversified to manufacture its own fence panels and sheds.

As the trade demand increased for their manufactured timber products the Mold Garden Centre became established within the group of companies and has continued to evolve to provide a retail outlet to domestic clients in Mold, Wales and the North West. The landscaping service grew out of the success of the Garden Centre with retail clients requesting installation of larger products. Now established as a company within the group, P&A Landscaping has become an award winning business and is taking on major landscaping projects for both commercial and domestic clients in Wales and across the North West.

We are incredibly proud to announce that we have been awarded the Excellence in Sustainability Award at the West Cheshire and North Wales Chamber of Commerce Annual Ball & Recognition Awards held on 14th November.

This prestigious award, sponsored by Cyd Innovation, recognises organisations that are leading the way towards a low-carbon, low-waste and sustainable future, and we are honoured to be recognised alongside fellow finalists Cheshire College South & West, Storengy UK, and Theatr Clwyd.

Why we won...

Our Pallet & Recycling Division has been working tirelessly to reduce environmental impact across our operations. Their commitment to expanding recycling capabilities, reducing waste, and driving innovative sustainable solutions has made a measurable difference, not only by cutting environmental impact but also by supporting our long-term ambition to operate responsibly and sustainably across the entire P&A Group.

This achievement reflects the passion and commitment of everyone involved in our sustainability journey.

Thank you to the Chamber for this recognition, and congratulations to our amazing team on this outstanding success!

What a night for Mold Alexandra FC!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy an evening of top comedy, all while supporting Mold Alexandra FC, a club that continues to be safe, welcoming, and inclusive for the whole community.

We’re proud that P&A Pallets & Packing Cases were able to help by donating the pallets for the DIY stage... and what a strong stage it was! A big shout-out to Paula Ellis for constructing it and to all the Mold Alex volunteers who kept the night running smoothly.

We loved being part of such a fantastic community event, and we can't wait for the next one!

We’re thrilled to share an incredible update from the Justice Garden, created in collaboration with the University of Liverpool School of Law & Social Justice, Sioned Edwards, and our partners Melcourt and Protek Wood Stain.

Over the past year, two groups of around 20 young unaccompanied asylum seekers have helped bring the garden to life, using donated materials including upcycled timber from our Zest Outdoor Living exhibition stand, Silvergrow peat-free compost, Melcourt topsoil, and Protek timber treatments. These young people didn’t just plant and grow, they built benches and a table using P&A’s timber, helping create a peaceful, welcoming space now used by staff and students across campus.

In June, the young gardeners were celebrated at a special event and received certificates of achievement from the university.

Professor Helen Stalford described the garden as “a unique oasis of calm and integration” and a place where “projects like this, though modest, inspire hope and understanding in our community.”

We’re incredibly proud to be part of something that’s making a meaningful difference, and excited to hear that the project is set to continue, with support from Liverpool College and the University’s gardening society.

We’ll be visiting soon to see the results for ourselves and to plan the next phase.

We're absolutely thrilled to announce that our recent Charity Yard Sale at our Saltney site raised a fantastic £3,000 for our 2025 Charities of the Year, the MS Society and North Clwyd Animal Rescue (NCAR).

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made it happen, your community spirit was incredible.

We sold over £28,000 worth of products at clearance prices, and while we didn't make a profit, we're proud to donate £3,000 to support the amazing work of both charities.

This event was part of our 40th anniversary year, where we're committed to making a positive impact and reaching our £20,000 fundraising target.

Our team is already gearing up for more challenges, including the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge on Friday, June 20th!

"This was a brilliant example of our team and community coming together to make a difference," said our Managing Director, Andy Baker. We couldn't agree more!

🏃‍♂️ One Historic Day, Two Marathons – Team P&A Goes the Distance for Charity!

On Sunday 27 April 2025, the UK will witness its largest single day of marathon running as the Adidas Manchester Marathon and TCS London Marathon hit the streets simultaneously, welcoming 90,000 runners.

We’re thrilled that two members of the P&A family are among them:

👟 Jan Wardyn – Supply Partner from Drewar, finally ticking off his bucket list after several years of dreaming. Thanks to a place secured by P&A, Jan has already raised £2,000 for Sense, the national charity that supports people living with complex disabilities.

👟 Andy Baker – Back for his 7ᵗʰ Manchester Marathon (and his 16ᵗʰ overall), Andy is fundraising for our charities of the year, the MS Society and NCAR, with £1,000 in the pot so far.

Their miles matter, but your support powers the impact. If you’re able, please add a pound—or simply share this post—to help Jan and Andy smash their targets and help our chosen charities change lives.

💡 Why it matters

MS Society and NCAR were chosen by you as our Charities of the Year.

Sense, was one of the runners-up in our vote and remains close to many colleagues’ hearts.

Earlier this month, P&A sponsored the Nightingale House 5k/10k community run—another example of our year‑round commitment to charity and to promoting health & wellbeing.

How you can support:

💸 Donate to their fundraising pages:

👉 Jan for Sense: https://www.justgiving.com/page/jan-wardyn-1724253651439

👉 Andy for MS Society & NCAR: https://givewheel.com/fundraising/6545/andy-baker-pa-group-fundraising-for-ms-society-and/

✍️ Send a message of support—we’ll make sure they see it!

📲 Track & cheer them on the day:

Jan (London): Bib #43609 “Wardyn” in the official TCS London Marathon app.

Andy (Manchester): Bib #2414 “Baker” in the Adidas Manchester Marathon app.

🏁 Fast facts to share:

- 42.195 km = 26.2 miles — about the distance you’d log if you ran from our Saltney site to Liverpool’s Albert Dock (with a quick wave at Anfield on the way!).

- Jan’s personal‑best marathon: 3:35:35 at the Poznan Marathon 2024.

- Andy’s personal‑best marathon: 3:08:33 at the Valencia Marathon 2024.

- The Nightingale House 5k/10k that P&A sponsored this month drew over 400 local runners, raising vital funds for palliative care.

Let’s rally behind Jan and Andy—every pound and every cheer propels them (and our charities) further.

💪 Mud, Obstacles & Team Spirit – Tom, Helen & Ben Take on Born Survivor for Charity!

On Saturday 26 April, three of our brave colleagues—Thomas Jones (Marketing), Helen Barsby (Finance) and Ben Morgan (Warehouse)—will be trading spreadsheets and stocklists for 10km of mud, sweat and teamwork at the Born Survivor assault course at Capesthorne Hall, near Manchester.

🪖 What’s the mission?

Thomas Jones: Keep the team together—“No Soldier Left Behind”

Helen Barsby: Conquer the full “Classic Survivor” course

Ben Morgan: Unleash the loudest battle-cry at “The Blitz” wall

They’re putting themselves through 30 military-grade obstacles—all in support of our 2025 Charities of the Year: the MS Society and North Clwyd Animal Rescue (NCAR).

🧡 Why it matters
MS Society and NCAR are our 2025 Charities of the Year—your support fuels research, care and equipment for people living with multiple sclerosis and neurological conditions.

The trio’s challenge adds muscle to our health & wellbeing drive, hot on the heels of P&A’s sponsorship of the Nightingale House 5k/10k.

🙌 How you can help

💸 Donate via the in-house Giving Hub → https://www.givewheel.com/fundraising/6997/pa-born-survivor-challenge-fundraising-for-ms-soci/

✍️ Send a good luck message—we’ll print every note and pop them in their waterproof pockets for race day!

📣 Come and cheer them on—spectator entry is free, and the Event Village opens from 09:00 with coffee & food stalls.

🏃‍♀️ Join the mud squad? Late entries are still open if you fancy your own commando challenge (escape routes available at 6 km and 8 km).

🧠 Fast facts to drop into conversation

10 km of course = running from Saltney to Chester Racecourse and back, but with 30 walls, cargo nets, ice baths and mud pits in the mix.

Obstacles have names like “Drop Zone Alpha” and “Rat Holes”—expect dunkings up to chest‑deep.

Finishers earn a dog‑tag medal and … eternal bragging rights in the canteen.

Let’s rally behind Tom, Helen and Ben—every pound, post and cheer will keep them charging through the mud for MS Society and NCAR.
