Creative Day at ‘Potter Rhoney’ 🎨

Our artistic residents enjoyed a creative outing to Arbroath’s “Potter Rhoney” pottery studio, where they painted their own ceramic pieces. The day was filled with colour, creativity, and pride as everyone produced beautiful keepsakes to take home.

Relaxing Sound-bath Experience 🎶

Residents enjoyed a truly calming and restorative Sound-bath meditation session, where they were bathed in the soothing vibrations of singing bowls, gongs, and chimes. The resonant sounds created a peaceful atmosphere, helping everyone unwind and embrace a sense of serenity and mindfulness.

Our residents have been keeping active with a wide variety of physical games. From practicing their putting skills and enjoying the laughter-filled game of balloon tennis, to joining in with Body Boosting Bingo, everyone had the chance to get moving while having fun.

We were delighted by a special Judy Garland–themed pantomime, which filled the room with singing, laughter and a little sparkle of nostalgia.

We hosted our very first 'Bingo and Bubbles' evening, a relaxed and sociable event with a glass of something fizzy and a few rounds of bingo. It proved to be a big hit, and we’re already looking forward to the next event!

We continue to work closely with Rise, who run interactive physical activity sessions for our residents. These sessions are designed not only to promote movement, but also to support mental stimulation and encourage social connections.

Whether seated or standing, all residents are supported to take part. The sessions often include a mix of gentle games, competitions, and reminiscence activities. It’s been wonderful to see residents learning new skills and having a laugh together, and we’re proud to offer a programme that is widely recognised for its quality and inclusiveness.

One of our recent highlights was a group outing to the Verdant Works Museum, where residents enjoyed learning more about the area’s industrial past - many sharing memories and stories from their own experiences.

Our Hawaiian Party was a fantastic success! Residents embraced the theme by dressing up in colourful leis and floral props, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Many joined in on the dancing, filling the room with laughter and joyful energy. It was a wonderful way for everyone to come together and enjoy the spirit of aloha.

We shared a goodbye tea party with our friends at Seaview Nursery. It was an emotional yet joyful occasion, as we gathered to wish the children all the best as they transition to primary school. The bond formed between our residents and the little ones was truly special, and we are grateful for the memories we've created together.

We recently took an exciting trip to Deep Sea World, where residents had the incredible opportunity to explore the underwater world. The vibrant displays of fish captivated everyone, from colourful tropical fish to majestic sharks, our residents were in awe of the beauty of marine life.
